are you saying Disney could go on like this forever or asking why people won't get the vaccine?
I know a lot of people who just flat out aren't getting it... so then at what point does Disney return to normal and say ok risk and health decisions are up to the individuals and families (like before)
...BigDaddyCane says Florida is managing just fine. Been that way foreverEverything's fine.
The American Bar Association? Next you’ll be quoting Shakespeare.1. Why can’t they “go on”?? Is there an indication they are financially distressed? If so you better let Wall Street know...
2. Never. What planet do you live on where Disney would publicly condone a free for all?
Perhaps If the American bar association no longer existed?
...but this is all purely hypothetical. I don’t think the situation you’re proposing comes to pass.
I agree. In the case of the night parade it was more of a logistical approach to avoid overcrowding at MK. They wanted to spread the crowds. Remember that was also the timeframe when AK became a “full day park” with RoL and the night safari and added nightly entertainment.Yes, I know all of that and believe parades and fireworks will come back. I just have this nagging feeling.. if you remember back to when the nighttime parade was cut. Tons of backlash with the promise from Disney that it’s a temporary thing. It’s been years and nothing and the crowds pour in. Other things also. So I don’t put it out of the realm of being done.
Kids want to see Mickey.. so parents will take them no matter how many parades or fireworks are going.
I agree with this, but it was always the case before Covid and will be afterwards. I guess I just don’t see Covid as being a catalyst for change because the parks as they are operating today are not really relevant to how they will be going forward post-pandemic. I also know that WDW was a cash cow and made incredible profits for the company. Why risk making sweeping changes in your product when you know the mix you had worked great. Now if it’s 2022 and the crowds are still 75% of pre-Covid levels I could see a wave of belt tightening kicked off again. I guess the way I see it is the parks weren’t broken financially there’s no need to fix them. It makes smart business sense to ramp right back up to where you were before.I think Disney loves the idea of finding the perfect (read: profitable) balance between bare bones and crowd pleasing. The questions is, is there a difference between the numbers they had, the numbers they want, and the numbers they need... for the same level of profitability?
Shakespeare got the Pfizer vaccine today in England. When asked what he was going to do next he said ”I’m going to Disney World...without a mask”The American Bar Association? Next you’ll be quoting Shakespeare.
Hasn’t stopped them from eliminating all but 1 daily parade at each property. (Florida / California). Just a few years ago Florida had 4 daily parades and California had 3.If you eliminate the people eating parades and night shows the ride waits grow.
The American Bar Association? Next you’ll be quoting Shakespeare.
I said parades and night shows, but that just reinforces my point. There was no pandemic needed to make those cuts. I’m not sure why everyone is so hell bent on seeing WDW come back as some former shell of itself. There’s no practical reason for that to happen. Could it happen? Sure I suppose anything is possible.Hasn’t stopped them from eliminating all but 1 daily parade at each property. (Florida / California). Well I was speaking of the Docs that sell the pain pills to anyone who asks and for the cruiser who does not want to lose his non refundable $10K they spent on a cruise after the cruise line said there would be no vaccine requirement than changed the rules after they paid and after they have exhausted all legal means and was turned down because of age, race, medical history or zip code.1) Physicians are, on average, the highest paid profession in the US. Do you really think many people have enough spare cash to make it worth the while of a highly compensated professional to commit medical fraud?
2) It takes two to three mouse clicks to print out a legitimate vaccination record. It takes far more time and effort to write out a fraudulent vaccination claim. Will someone seeing 18-25 patients a day go out of their way to accommodate this request, that could also get them in trouble if caught?
Everything's fine.
Something tells me that falsifying vaccination status for cruise tourists won't be nearly as lucrative a racket as running a opioid mill. And those docs have long since lost their license to practice medicine.Well I was speaking of the Docs that sell the pain pills to anyone who asks and for the cruiser who does not want to lose his non refundable $10K they spent on a cruise after the cruise line said there would be no vaccine requirement than changed the rules after they paid and after they have exhausted all legal means and was turned down because of age, race, medical history or zip code.
Well that was a stretch . Anyway there is no worries Joey is gonna be in the White House and it will be all rainbows and unicorns
One of the two provinces I am working in is Alberta right now. The News media and public have been besides themselves with disapproval of the direction everything is going these days. It's definitely the most conservative government installed in Canada and the most US-like. Albeit to be fair to them what they have restricted would make some US states furious.
Every time I check numbers against the US though it still shocks me. It is practically end of days here and it feels like many US states are continuing like business as usual.
COVID-19 in the U.S.: How do Canada's provinces rank against American states?
Looking at confirmed coronavirus cases per million people, how do the U.S. states compare to Canada's provinces and territories?www.ctvnews.ca

So if one had Covid and recovered, would they be required to get the vaccine in order to take a cruise, visit a theme park, fly on a plane, etc.?
How many people visit the parks each year because of parades and fireworks? How many people would not visit if they cut those things completely? If they cut them by 50%? 75%?In the case of Disney parks today, they could just not bring the stuff back and maybe people still come back anyway, but those elements help attract and retain customers and without them revenues will suffer.
Nobody is hell-bent on seeing Disney reduce things like live entertainment, parades, or fireworks. You think any of us want to see these cuts?I’m not sure why everyone is so hell bent on seeing WDW come back as some former shell of itself. There’s no practical reason for that to happen.
If this is the route the leisure industry goes, yes, because we don't know how long natural immunity to SARS-CoV-2 lasts. So if one had Covid and recovered, would they be required to get the vaccine in order to take a cruise, visit a theme park, fly on a plane, etc.?
