Strange development. Maybe some data hasn’t been submitted or something. If so then we should see a make up tomorrow with much higher testing. That has happened a few times already.

When I go through the data and see things like this it tells me there is some lagging of info or something.

Orange county convention center reporting NO positive cases at all. One of the biggest testing centers in Orlando posting no positives at all for the day is highly unlikely.

Prepare for a data dump

It could go back down, couldn’t it? Or is this an upward trend that will continue? Forgive me, I don’t know a thing about statistical analysis.
Don't let the statistics being posted all over the place stress you. I find it entertaining how depending on the poster the stats and the source will conflict with what another poster puts up. COVID19 is not simple to analyze people with multiple degrees, titles and many acronyms behind their names can not come to a consensus.

...and when most of the doctors, PHDs and other experts do agree on things it just gets shouted down by the conspiracy theorists who don‘t believe anything that doesn’t fit their narrative. It’s a no win situation and also probably why the country hasn’t faired too well with this pandemic. Too many people fighting what needs to be done instead of just doing it.

deSantis has not released COVID numbers today. Florida considers not releasing daily COVID-19 case numbers to the public, so how do we as travelers have any idea whether it is safe/ Numbers have been creeping up significantly, and John Hopkins today...
I will be one of the ones cancelling my 2 trips. Urgggg.
I go to seaworld and Busch gardens every other week and they seem to be far laxer than disney with most thing and im still here to tell the tale.

So.... You’re saying masks and social distancing are important? So people should probably still be home and not mandated back to crazy crowded situations or office settings and that children should probably still be learning from home? Just getting it straight LOL… You know kind of like all the doctors and scientists have been saying all along
Alot of the children i know in my family are bombing school...and thats multiple grade levels etc. Its probably no big deal for your honor students but for middle of the pack and kids that need more assistance there basically skipping a year of school imho.

I heard a consulting doctor on NPR today say that Florida is “expecting” a rather large spike now (snowbird transition...which the tried to explain away)

One term Ronnie’s gambit is failing...travel is not gonna pick up before Q3 2021 at this rate and he’ll be looking for that sweet state assistance from Washington as much as anyone who hasn’t made a public clown of themselves with their bravado.

That’s how it goes when the bear gets you.

Well GoofGoof there is an old west quote that comes to mind "You can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink". Personally, for myself, I think something with some rum in it will do as I watch this human drama unfold.

Hasn’t it been said since the start that these things will depend on response and collective action?
Isn’t that the consensus?

...I may have hit my head by I could have sworn I heard that at least a couple of times??

Rum helps. If you don’t laugh at this some it will just make you cry. Some day years from now long after this is all over my kids may try to tell their grand kids about all that went on and they definitely won’t believe people acted the way they did.

Bull. There is plenty of consensus.

It’s also still near impossible to get a test as asymptomatic in my county, at least. So, yes, contact tracing has a lot to do with it.
Heck, my wife was symptomatic for 3-4 days two weeks ago. But because she works from home she was told not to bother with coming in unless her condition warranted attention. So ...
We also have at least one lab in the northwestern part of the state that reports positives by dialing in to 911 and doesn’t report negatives. That is accounting for SOME of the skewed positivity rate.
When I say we’re forgotten, it’s no joke.
Which is why it's so hard to compare positivity rates. Some states make it very easy to test if you are asymptomatic, others make it very difficult to test without symptoms. Of course there will be a big difference in rates.
