Glad you had a good time. I have a friend who lives in Jacksonville. They went for three days. The family had a good time but also said it wasn’t the same. They loved the low crowds and as you said, only saw a few not obeying the rules.
The negatives were that they got at the park at opening and never stayed past 3 or so. The masks got to them. Even said they have a mask tan. Lol Also missed everything closed. They would take the crowds with everything back open she said. They had fun but won’t be going back until this blows over.

We were able to do all 6 days from open to close! The masks are not fun obviously but we had no problem wearing them all day. I used the disposable blue masks and my buddy used a Disney mask he bought the first day.

I will say I am at Universal today and the vibe is Totally different. Already seeing some uncompliance and confusion in lines etc that didnt happen at Disney. The one strangely better thing is they make you do sanitizer before getting on the rides we have been on so far.

I'm actually surprised Disney doesn't make you use hand sanitizer before rides like FoP where you are supposed to hold onto something the whole time. I'm 99.9999% sure they aren't sanitizing those handles between groups.

They do have the sanitizer dispensers at the exits that almost everybody uses.

Maybe Disney is doing a better job with communication. As I said in the other thread, I went to AK and Disney Springs yesterday and I did not see a single person that wasn't complying with the rules. Any mask removal I saw was for a quick drink and even then anybody I saw do that stepped off to the side away from people.

It’s good to hear that Disney is taking the rules seriously. It’s in everyone’s best interest to do that. I personally would rather just use hand sanitizer after riding than rely on the someone else to clean the ride vehicle anyway.

This is good symbolism, but unless repeat offenders are actually being tracked and asked to leave, that’s all it is - symbolism.

They don’t even keep track of people smoking in the parks or cutting in lines afaik. As long as they comply when requested by cm’s I don’t see any reason to track their every move.

UK study for the use of the "cheap steroid" dexamethasone, that was getting all the buzz a few weeks ago.

Conclusion: The use of the steroid does seem to have a positive effect on outcomes for people on ventilators, and a smaller positive effect for those receiving high dose oxygen, but does not improve outcome for people who do not need that level of treatment.

And not a very large positive effect either. Disappointing.

I still think it will be fine. I don’t want to get into politics here, but it’s very unlikely that a vaccine is ready before the November election so the political slant should be removed if/when it happens. They also need a good PR campaign based in facts and full disclosure. I‘d say get people like the Kardashians or some of these social influencer types involved.

EXCEPT...in that article they specifically cite Kanye as stating that vaccines are the "mark of the beast" since many kids are being paralyzed by them. Don't know that it would work if the Kardasian girls would support the vaccines while Kanye (husband of Kim) doesn't.

It’s pathetic that anyone is really influenced by any of them, but that’s my point. Get a few morons who people worship to say it’s good and the sheep will fall in line.
