Honestly....this whole, everything is great attitude really worries me.
At this rate covid is going to be around much longer and many more will needlessly die so a few people can get their WDW fix.

So pathetic and sad by all the nay-sayers.
Really, it all boils down to this. We are in the midst of a resurgence of a pandemic. A lot more people will suffer. The economic devastation will continue. It is going to be very difficult to open schools safely. The small recreational activities that make life bearable - restaurants, cinemas, theme parks - are unsafe.

And this is all true because we, as a nation, MADE A CHOICE to have it be true. And we are MAKING A CHOICE to have it continue to be true.

The situation could be massively better. With wiser and more responsible actions, we might not be all the way back to normal, but we'd be much closer.

There will be A LOT of history books, both popular and academic, about 2020. Hundreds of them. They are going to be staggeringly depressing.

But the really important thing is that we don't "travel-shame."

Indeed, but given total tests are up it suggests that either Florida is so far behind tests done days ago are resulting or they tested more people yesterday.
This is true. It was traditionally coming on Monday and a little on Tue due to less testing over the weekend, but that was when results were in a day or 2 after testing. Now that the backlog is huge and some people are reporting waiting 5 to 7 days now for results it’s harder to predict.

Tests are staying higher...that is good, but a weekly average over 11K is not. At that rate FL will pass NY by next weekend in total positives :(

we're not even in the second wave...
I’m kind of obsessed with HHN. It will be opening during flu season ( the hospitals have yet to deal with the normal flu surge PLUS the pandemic), right as a lot of schools that reopened are closing, right at the moment when a second wave is most likely (I’m somewhat optimistic that we might dodge a second wave through the ingenious plan of never controlling the first).

The depth of hubris and denial involved in holding HHN is staggering.
