The problem is that "doing what we are doing" has gotten us to this point.

Something needs to change. Better enforcement of rules? Rolling back to an earlier phase? Something new?

They also should put “don’t travel or plan on large scale activities either”
...it’s implied but needs to be said. Just not the right dynamics for it.

I saw fauci comment on “herd immunity” today and that isn’t so great either

If a vaccine is 70-75% effect and 1/3 of the population doesn’t take it...herd immunity can’t be achieved by definition.

Times - I fear - have really changed. Tough to grasp with our short attention spans.

National mandatory policy.

And before you mistaken constitutional “wonks” start yelling. Article 1 grants a blanket “imminent threat” (as interpreted by about 5,000 court cases) ability to dictate policy. And if 50 governors drop the sheet and sign on, then everyone can take our Health off blast.

I’m not advocating closure like a hurricane landfall. But restrictions and isolation to the highest degree possible. Simple stuff like stay home when you’re sick.

So Apple sells a few less iPhones, chase has a few less bucks to gamble with, and Santa’s sleigh is lighter??

...deal...how will we survive such brutal terms? 🤔

And debated last year If I wanted to plunk the ducketts for One and I’m so glad I did.

Don’t see that one coming back ☹️

"Parent company Levy Restaurants informed the state on June 24 that its Paddlefish and Terralina Crafted Italian eateries at Disney Springs have upcoming job terminations and hour reductions affecting a total of 271 workers.

A total of 143 jobs will be eliminated effective Aug. 1 at Paddlefish (87 job cuts) and Terralina (56 job cuts). The remaining 128 workers between the two restaurants will see their hours cut. The company told the state that while the job terminations are permanent, its employees have been invited to apply for future positions "when business levels return."

Executives with Levy Restaurants could not be reached for comment.

The letter provided to the state indicated that the layoffs are related to the pandemic's negative impact on local sports and other events, which typically make up a big piece of Levy's business."

Although, we would individually have the option to take the vaccine to protect ourselves and our families. The people who lose would be the small percentage of people medically unable to take a vaccine. The covidiots and anti-vaxers can be hoisted on their own petards.

If shut down/masks/distancing has gotten us to this point and we need to try something new, maybe we should just do a blanket "open everything back up"! Haven't tried that yet. /s

It’s been a rather long four months where I’m at and it was still rather “lax”

I'd bet my house that if Atlantic City casinos still paid the city taxes based on revenue then Murphy would have opened them already. But now they pay a set payment each year instead because it turns out that gambling revenue fluctuates with the economy. Who knew?
