Wait. The past few days? Oh, Lily. This thread has been over the top since day one from ALL points of view.

I have to take breaks from it! I get the concern I really do and people should wear mask in required places but the dramatics of this is reminiscent of a 7th grade cheer teams sleepover.

For Chris sakes Disney doesn’t open until mid July let’s see how things play out between now and then before we light a match and walk away from a very precise and thoughtfully done in terms of safety reopening!

Not to be morbid but... when are the deaths in Florida going to start matching the rise in cases over the past two weeks?

More than likely in the next two weeks you would see an increase in deaths.

Though it depends on how many cases are asymptomatic versus symptomatic. Have these released any of that data?

It's easier to limit how many people you let into a theater then it is outside with people trying to get a better view of the parade. Good luck keeping space between anyone on mainstreet.
Very true and large indoor shows should open, plus the low capacity could help as far as parades etc.

yes lots of hysterics, glad some on this board isn't running Disney, it would never be open

I think most of the people here want masks. They've seen people not wear masks. No compliance, no businesses. No businesses, no economy. If I'm hysterical about anything, it's loss of business due to non-compliance. So yes, I'm hysterical in that regard.

That is assuming that what they are saying is true and the numbers are right. It would be nice if people can go outside more freely.
Agreed. We need more data and study. On the protests it’s not what anyone is saying. I’m just basing that purely on case numbers in major cities where protests occurred. It also seems that a lot of places that opened bars and restaurants with higher capacity there has been a problem. We don’t know for sure the uptick is driven by those venues but there’s definitely some smoke.

That's just it. You can't seem to get a straight answer anywhere and the media doesn't help. Both right/left wing media outlets tell a different story that the people don't know what is what. The government is really failing everyone here regardless of party. What is the hospitalization rate? What are the ages of these new test? How many are asymptomatic? How many more tests are you doing this week vs last week?

all that data is out there, easy to find, just a majority of news articles are written for clicks and fear

There were protests in places like NYC and Boston that are seeing numbers go down....it appears that bars are a major problem, though.

You know they really don't want to do this. So the fact that Govs Abbot and DeSantis are doing it, intensifies the fear that it's a whole lot worse than we even think it is. And the grocery stores were just getting back to normal around here.
Fear no, it is a smart measured response.
