People “reminding” other people to put on their mask is likely Disney’s nightmare scenario. Nobody “forgets” to wear a mask. Nothing good will come from that. Step away and get a cast member.
It’s a slippery slope for sure. Even though nobody forgets to wear a mask some people may want to try and see what they can get away with. Someone calling them on it may be all it takes. I have no problem telling a smoker that they shouldn’t smoke outside of a smoking area, same concept. I would only say it once and if they don’t comply or they get confrontational then walk away and find security.

Best advice on here in days! If somebody isn't wearing a mask, stay away from them and tell a CM. Confronting others is going to end up with close contact of the physical assault kind.

Disney doesn't want other guests enforcing its rules - this leads to bad feelings among guests and more problems than the initial noncompliance. If someone disagrees with my take on this, run it by Disney and see what they advise. I'm betting the answer won't be "please be polite when reminding other guests not to break the rules."

This long lasting disease concerns are not proven at all.
Well that may because we are not long into the tail of this novel disease. The only message that is being given out here is "stop telling people with mild initial symptoms that they safe to go out and spread the infection to others because it doesn't have consequence" because the medics are saying this may not be true.

Nobody should attempt to actually enforce the rules in any instance. I’m fine with people reminding others they are breaking the rules though, just like if someone was smoking on Main Street or cut in front of me in line or was using foul language and stumbling drunk in front of my kids (all things I’ve seen and commented on).

This is bad news.

But not really that bad when you look at the details, hospitals go on divert all the time, plus Miami Dade county is at 30% available capacity a good number, green flags on their dashboard, which is better than normal.

Sometimes it really seems people are looking bad stories, at least the media in this case NBC6.

"As stated in Emergency Order 18-20, all hospitals in Miami-Dade must report certain indicators each day to the County, including the inventory of ICU beds and the total number of unused beds at the hospital which can be converted to general acute care beds," the statement read in part. "As you can see from our daily dashboard, those numbers remain well within acceptable levels."

Breaking news there are and have been many other hospitals in Florida with 0% percent capacity everyday.

At what point are things bad in your definition?

I agree...if the action, like loud swearing, inflicts personal harm, it needs to be addressed then forwarded to a CM. If it’s a Disney policy, you need to let the law, CM, handle it.

No that is not what I am saying, smh. The vast majority of younger people are not getting sick with the virus, they are testing positive and if they are getting sick it is mild, yes some are getting hospitalized but very few and even less actually dying. This long lasting disease concerns are not proven at all. Could happen and we could all get brain cancer from mobile phones, probably not, but that may happen.

I agree we don't yet know the full extent of long term effects of the disease, but the numerous reports of people still suffering symptoms weeks or months after getting infected are cause for concern.

Well in this case I would say not wearing a mask increases the chances of you spreading an infectious disease to me and that would definitely be inflicting personal harm. I know others would disagree on that :).

What I’m saying is if I get in line for a ride and the guy in front of me either doesn’t follow the physical distancing or doesn’t wear a mask I’m going to say something to them (politely) just like if they were smoking or swearing or cutting in line. I wouldn’t wander around the park just looking for people to single out without masks and I wouldn’t escalate anything to the point it gets physical.

I have seen Orange County law enforcement inside the parks if their assistance is needed with certain situations.

Unfortunately, there will be “mask police” out and about, but, hopefully, it will be minimal.
