My family is leaving in 4 days for WDW, this is an annual trip we take and it always falls right before my younger sister's birthday, so we celebrate it while we're there. Well she's been dying to eat at Coral Reef, so I made secret reservations for it for friday the 14th. Well I was wondering, to the people who have eaten there; is it worth it? I've read some mixed reviews online but I want some feedback on here, I trust you guys more haha. Thanks!

In my experience, the food is very average, but the atmosphere is fantastic. It is always chilly in there so bring a sweater. I eat there almost every year because I think the tank is so cool.

I think the tank itself is a great reason to eat there, maybe I'm just worrying about nothing lol. I'm a broke college student, I don't wanna spend money on something that's not worth it. I'll probably already have a jacket on me for the nighttime anyway, but thanks for the info :)

That's what my dad said, but she wants the experience of it, so I might as well make her happy lol. I probably wont be eating much here. I just wanna know what I'm in store for
Limited menu, above average prices, nice atmosphere.

That being said, I could eat a ham sammich while walking throu the aquarium section of a pet shop and feel like I got a better value and experience.

I will agree the food is better at Fultons but its hard to top eating next to the tank. I say it is a definite eat there once at least to try it out. I have been there a few times and its never been bad.

We have eaten at Coral Reef the past two years and had great meals both times. The bring a sweater comment is great advice. It really does get chilly in there. It is also pretty loud. We had amazing service the first year but only so so service the second year. I always say its definitely worth trying at least once, especially for the experience of the tank. Have a great trip.

I loved it! I thought it was so cool but the kids in our group did not care. We were in a big group so we were seated against to back wall but still had a great view of the tank.

I went back and read my TR review but no very helpful. I do remember getting fish and the portion being small. Should have gotten the steak. The creme brulee was awesome.

Well, we have such a huge group going to WDW this year, so I just made this meal for the "Kids" and me. lol. So it'll be 5 of us, everyone seems pretty excited to eat there. I'm hoping that we get near the tank I dont eat fish except in sushi, so the portion shouldn't be a problem for me haha. Thanks :)

Ok great, I'm excited to eat there, but not dying to eat there. I never have been. I'm hoping she'll freak out when she finds out and love it.

We had an absolutely great time here! Got lucky enough to be right up next to the tank and had some scuba divers come by while we were eating. Also had an amazing server who when my husband asked for his 3rd glass of Coke, brought out a tray of like 8 glasses of Coke and 40 straws, we were highly entertained the whole time we were there. The food was good, nothing completely amazing but it was during free dining so we weren't paying out-of-pocket. Already have our ADR's for here next month!

I enjoyed the food and atmosphere there. The food was not the best I've ever had, but it was good. I really enjoyed the shrimp appetizer and chocolate wave a lot. My entree (the mahi-mahi) was fine, but not really what I expected from the description on the menu. It really is a beautiful restaurant, and the ambiance was great.

I dined at coral reef for the first time on my last trip, which happened to be during free dining. I loved the fish tanks, pretty good cocktails, and great dessert. We didn't love our entrees and had pretty poor service, I guess due to free dining and the crazy crowds. I'm sure your sister will love it since it is something she has really been wanting to try!!

It's been some time since we dined there, but we too found the food to be quite average. Still, it's a neat experience and DH has asked that we make room for it on a future trip...so clearly, it wasn't bad either.

We ate there a few years ago and it the food was just OK. But loved the fish tank. My daughter has not eaten there , so we are trying it again. We will also be eating there on Dec 14th.

Thanks guys for all the feedback :) I'm excited to try it out and see. I don't plan on ordering an entree, probably just eat an appetizer seeing as I don't like fish haha. I'll let you all know how it goes! Leaving tuesday :D
