Why hasn't Apple sponsored CoP yet? Disney/Jobs --> huge connection; attraction desperately needs some tech updating...

Seems pretty logical to me.

I hope you're not comparing Walt to Steve Jobs, because they are completely different.

Apple doesn't really innovate anything anymore. Sure it could be argued they started the smart phone craze but since then they've just gone downhill. They don't know how to innovate anymore to be honest, just how to market.

The people at Apple are too busy working on their latest version of the car-phone. Innovators, you know.

Agreed, they used to be innovators, creating wonderful machines.
Now they're really hasn't been much improvements since the iPhone 3 to the 5 besides Siri, a bigger screen and HD screen.
But back to the topic, Apple could be a great sponsor, maybe for CoP, but I don't see that happening in the foreseeable future.

No he's not. He's referring to the fact Steve Jobs had about 145million shares of Disney shares worth around $4.5 billion from selling Pixar to Disney and sat on the board of the Walt Disney Company. Pretty strong association with Disney I would say.

Apple has the money but there is nothing about CoP that would do much for their business. Imagination would be better but won't happen because again its at best tangential to Apple's businesses which are about innovation so Samsung has something to copy.

I like Apple's products, mostly because I'm a dodo when it comes to technology and I can USE Apple's products. I am forever grateful to Steve Jobs for making sure us dodos could use his stuff, too. I wish he'd lived to implement his hospital ideas.

Since I use my iPad to surf these boards, I can't really say they haven't done anything for me lately. Laptops sucked compared to this.

I'm totally in favor of Apple in the parks. I'm just not sure they think they need to bother advertising there.

I think it wouldn't be a bad idea. Especially if they turn the attraction into the history of computers rather than the history of electricity. It would give the attraction an update and refresh with a sponsor, but still stay true to the original concept and ideals.

Product placement... Put an iMac in the last scene along with some white earbuds. Mission accomplished.

They do have the "Woznijobs" in the SSE garage scene. :)

In the early days of EPCOT Center they had Sperry-Univac and SGI. Now they have IBM and HP.
