My wife and I will be in Disney World in early June and I've been so out of tune until now with what's going on in Disney as far as construction. Can somebody give me and update or post a link to where I can find this info. Just wanted to know what to expect, especially the construction going on in front of Cinderellas Castle. Thanks.

There is a lot of construction going on right now at the hub in front of the castle and it's possible that it will still be going on when you are there. AK has the most construction going on now with a lot of construction walls in the park which will still be there when you go. DHS currently has construction where the hat used to be but I would expect those walls to be gone by the time you get there.

Also, Downtown Disney will still be somewhat of a mess.

Not about your post but I like your "Time to Retirement" countdown on your signature :) Congrats!!!

I would check the referb schedule too as there are some popular rides which will be down while you are there but you still will absolutely be able to have fun especially if you know what to expect :)

I figured DTD was pretty messed up and most rides will be open when we go except Pirates unfortunately. Hopefully Magic Kingdom isn't too bad though. Can someone post a pic or a link on this site of how it's looking right now.

There needs to be a dislike button for this one! I am totally baffled as to why they'd refurb a very popular ride durin the busiest time of year! Not right!

There is NEVER going to be a good time to do a refurb on any ride. It's been done before--when Space got its new track and Thunder was rethemed as well. Those were months-long rehabs. Given what I've heard about POTC (I'm headed down Sunday so I'll be able to see it firsthand next week), the ride experience is bad-boats bottoming out, AA not working, garbled audio, etc. In Disney's mind, it's better to take the whole thing down, rather than a little bandaid 3-5 day rehab.
