You sound like the type that if you went in November, you'd complain about the Christmas decorations.

Yes, I would. That's pretty much what I'm saying.

The other poster thought that the Jungle Cruise wasn't returning, but the title and post both say Jingle Cruise. So that's their fault.

The all caps drives me nuts though.

I haven't seen Sean on Jungle Cruise yet (he was displaced to Jungle from GMR.) I am not surprised that he is an awesome skipper, as he was one of the best on the Great Movie Ride. I loved working with him at GMR. I'll make sure he sees your comment.

Video from either ride?

No, I'm saying the exact opposite. I'm not a local who can go every week of the year and appreciate these seasonal changes. For the past dozen or so years, I've only been able to go in mid-late September. And for the latter majority of those years, Main Street has been decorated in pumpkins and fall leaves. The crane didn't help either.

Not only do I think it looks better without, but I'll get plenty of Halloween at home in October. I don't want Halloween on vacation! Much less in September!

I wonder how many first-time guests really like it.
Fall decorations in September really bother you? They were up in August this year, and while certainly early, we chose to enjoy the opportunity to experience things we would otherwise miss. You're entitled to your opinion, but I'd argue that most guests feel the decorations are tasteful and only add to Main Street's charm. I can understand those against Halloween in August, but mid-late September as you described tends to be time to decorate for fall all around the country.

I agree Jingle Cruise fits right in with the original attraction and adds something unique for the holidays. It would be a shame to lose it if this rumor is true. It's not like it requires a long closure like DL's HM.

I appreciate their adorning the parks and all that. But I slightly prefer that in DLP, which over the course of a few years I'll see in every month of the year. But like you, most of my recent trips to WDW have been in September, early September too. If I didn't know any better, I'd think all that orange and pumpkins and Halloween closures were a permanent fixture!

Besides the obvious lights of winter and Osborne lights could you show me some examples of decorations that have disappeared?

Lights of Winter was the big one that disappeared. Also the garland that used to go across Main Street. I preferred the Christmas tree be in the middle of Town Square (It seemed more colorful, but I may be confusing the castle lights with the Christmas tree lights), and the last time I was there for Christmas it was down Main Street in the hub. Has it moved back since 2009-ish? (Edit: I guess it has, from pictures I just saw online)

I'm trying to look for digital pictures from the early-to-mid 2000's of decorations that were present but are now missing. I remember some puff-ball-light-things around the fountain at Epcot that weren't a part of LoW. Sadly, I don't know where our physical pictures from before 2003 would be, or where my dad's pictures from years past would be.

The garland across Main Street was removed because of festival of fantasy and it wasn't just cut. It was replaced with something different.

The puff-ball-light-things you speak of are long gone but it's not as if their planter sits empty nowadays. The space is still used for Christmas decorations each year. The display is just different now. Decorations change. You can't call out the loss of something like those without mentioning the additions such as the dioramas, street garland, etc in France and the tea set in the U.K. for example.

And they seem to be adding more holiday decor around Echo Lake at DHS ... plus the new projection offering on Sunset.
They actually added a substantial amount of decorations to the studios last year along Hollywood blvd. Also nearly every resort dining location received new decorations last year, many that hadn't been decorated in years and some that were decorated for the first time ever.

I'm keen to see what the Swolphin does. Traditionally they had a white poinsettia tree with a large toy train running around it built over the Dolphin's lobby fountain. However, the fountain now has a billion crystals hanging over it in the make-over. I asked a manager about it at the beginning of September and he didn't know what they'd be doing.

I just hope if they put the white poinsettia tree elsewhere, that they get new bows. The gold ones they use look like some of the poinsettias have wilted and turned brown.

I don't think that tree would fit anywhere else.
