Hip hip hooray!

I don't like holiday overlays. Can't remember the last time I saw Main Street without pumpkins.

It's all a rumor at this point. No one knows if true at MK. (It's already been confirmed for DL.)

If this is true it is a bit ironic in that one park is receiving a nice investment in holiday entertainment, while the park hosting an up-charge event, which is at record prices, is losing something. Considering the cost of the party, you'd think they'd be adding more stuff to MK, not less. Watch it still sell out though, haha.

35 days ago...maybe you go too often?

No, I'm saying the exact opposite. I'm not a local who can go every week of the year and appreciate these seasonal changes. For the past dozen or so years, I've only been able to go in mid-late September. And for the latter majority of those years, Main Street has been decorated in pumpkins and fall leaves. The crane didn't help either.

Not only do I think it looks better without, but I'll get plenty of Halloween at home in October. I don't want Halloween on vacation! Much less in September!

I wonder how many first-time guests really like it.

We go about every two years or so...usually late Oct/early Nov. or the week after Easter...we happen to enjoy it VERY much, thank you...you kinda answered your own question...change the time of year you go, or go and quit belly achin' You sound like the type that if you went in November, you'd complain about the F & W and the Christmas decorations...if you went every spring, you'd complain about the flower festival..."damned topiaries"...

You do realize that some people do not have much control over when they get to take a vacation, right?

Who complains about the F&G Festival? It's not as if topiaries are everywhere, adorning nearly every building, light post, and available space in the parks.

And if one were to go, say, in early November and there were Christmas decorations up, you bet I'd complain about it. The week prior to Thanksgiving is the earliest Christmas decorations should be up, and early October for Halloween decorations. But then TDO can't make more money selling the parks twice, so we know that's not changing. Ever.

Well I guess because I worked in retail for 30 years, September was always back to school. Halloween, Thanksgiving AND the beginning of Christmas packaways from the previous year...it is what it is...we love it...you don't

Quite the contrary - I loved seeing the decorations in the parks in years past, when they wouldn't start putting Christmas decorations up until mid-November. They unfortunately do not decorate the parks like the once did, which is a shame.

Other than there being some sort of serious damage we're unaware of, I can't see it NOT returning. They just added the Skipper's Canteen to go with the theming. Unless they've had another idea kicking around but couldn't bring themselves to closing this classic, and THIS has provided them with an opportunity?
