Trip Report **COMPLETED** A Boardwalk Babymoon

Hey guys! I have been back for awhile and to be honest I was not planning on writing a Trip Report because I have a lot going on right now. However, I was looking through all my pictures the other day feeling a little sad about not writing one. So...here we are! To be honest this was a long trip so this is probably going to take me forever to write (especially since I have a few trips coming up) :)

Ok...let's get down to it !

Who?
My Mom (Mary), my sister Jill and myself (Megan)
This is from our last trip together in Feb 2020

May 20-30, 2021

Where?
Boardwalk Villas - staying on DVC points!

Why?
Jill and her husband Nick adopted a baby! If she is ok with it I will post a photo at some point of him. Funny enough we planned this trip before they got matched with a baby! They have been going through the adoption process for over a year and we thought it would give her a boost if we gifted her this trip! Literally like 2 weeks after we officially added her to the trip she got the call! It was perfect timing!! The baby was born just last week :) Also side note my Mom and I were supposed to be in Disneyland/on an Adventures by Disney tour this trip which is why it was so long :)

Day 1 - May 20, 2021
My Mom stayed at my house so we could drive ourselves to the airport instead of waking my Dad up super early on a Thursday.
We got up at 3:30 am, got ready and headed out the door!
We made it to the airport and found the best parking spot! I was so happy ! It was our first time driving ourselves to the airport :hilarious:
I avoided an overweight suitcase thanks to a home scale so.....phew!
Took some photos when we got there!

Oh I should mention that Jill came a few days later!
We were starving so we tried to rope drop our usual breakfast place...

But...it was supposed to open at 5 and it did not so we ended up eating cookies and licorice :hilarious::hilarious:

I think Disney is missing a golden opportunity to not have the Electric Mayhem playing in Rizzo's like Sonny Eclipse is in Tomorrowland.

Back at the Boardwalk I had some work to do then we headed down to the pool!

There was a pretty creepy guy at the pool so we headed out of there and to our favorite drink spot - Abracadabar

I again forgot to take drink photos but I had a Conjurita, my Mom had a Whiskey Sour and Jill had a Hoodunit's Punch.

After hustling to DHS (after I made us wait for fries) we ran into a Calvacade!

Then we headed over to 50's Prime Time for dinner

It was SO hot and of course they were running behind.

We waited for about 20 minutes after our reservation time.

Jill and I both ordered Grandma's Picnic Punch (Grandma concocted a wonderful drink for the family picnic - Vodka, Peach Schnapps, Crème de Cassis, Light Lemonade, and Pineapple Juice)

This was Jill's first time here and at first we were disappointed with the lack of fun but then out of nowhere our waiter started acting up and it was hilarious. He attacked Jill with a shark toy, scared us by popping through the window behind us, blamed us for things the other people in the restaurant were doing, etc etc. It was SO fun. I have never laughed so hard in my life.
He made Jill wear a brat hat!

After our dinner we decided to slide into the Runaway Railway line.

The abrafries are pretty great. Our personal favorites are the truffle fries at Enchanted Rose in the GF, they are outrageous.

Sounds like a perfect day! I must try those fries at the Abracadabra Bar on my next trip! I haven't eaten at 50's Prime Time Cafe in many years because my DH doesn't like the kidding around by the servers but I always enjoyed it! Your PP picture of your matching stars shirts is sooo cute!

We used to be super intimidated by the kidding around so we would skip it but now we just think its so silly and fun!

May 25, 2021 Day 6
We got up around 5:45 am and we were down at the bus stop around 6:30 with a bunch of other people :)

The bus came at 6:45 am and we were at the MK by 7:10 am. The park opened very shortly after.
We headed right to 7DMT. It was not open yet but it was a very short wait for it to open.
