I had no luck getting ADR's for LTT before the MNSSHP on the day we are going and have heard bad reviews for Tony's and of course can't get into CRT, so the cast member suggested The Plaza. I had actually forgotten it was there because I don't hear anything about it. Has anyone eaten there? Did you enjoy it? Please tell me what you think about it :)

I've eaten there several times. We really liked the food, but it is not in the same "category" as the other ones you mentioned. It is a TS, but IMO, should not be. To me, it is more like an upgraded counter service where they happen to wait on you. It is mostly sandwiches. However, they are very good. And the prices are very good as well. The prices are not like any other TS where I've eaten. It is not worth using a TS credit there.

I agree with Kadee.

We really like The Plaza. My daughter always ask to go there because she LOVES the ice cream sundae's. We have reservatons to dine there before MNSSHP as well!

great! I'll keep the reservation then. We have the dining plan but have a few extra reservations so I'll plan on this being one of the ones I pay out of pocket for. I'm so glad to hear that it's good. A sandwich shop sounds good and I'm sure my kids wouldn't turn away from an ice cream sundae ;-)

I also agree that the Plaza is a great place for a good sandwich. I noticed that you mentioned hearing bad reviews on Tony's. I've not heard this, but I can say that Tony's is one of our favorite lunch spots! The food is great and if you get to sit outside, you have a wonderful view of the Square.... timing it during a parade is a plus too! Enjoy

Great food but it is mostly sandwiches as the others have stated. The Turkey club is super yummy. We also love their banana split :)

MK's best hidden secret. If you are looking for a heartier menu, it may not work for you, but one of their huge sandwiches and big ice cream desserts are enough for me usually, and I'm a big eater.

The Plaza is a great place to pay for out of pocket if you made any reservations for a Signature 2-credit TS meal. Options are limited, but tasty. I'd equate it to Sci-Fi Dine in at MGM - a good place for a burger and ice cream sundae but don't expect to get your socks knocked off...unless the sundae puts you in a diabetic coma and they have to chop off your feet. But come on, it's a vacation, stop thinking negative already.

Ok, I've only been to Mk about 30 times, but where the heck is the Plaza Restaurant? Now I want to check it out! Sounds like a great lunch place where you don't have to stand in line for your food.

It's at the end of Main Street to the right (if you are facing the castle). It's in the pathway between the ice cream shop and the Noodle Station (it stands directly in front of the old swan boat dock which is now a smoking area).

It's honestly the best kept secret at the MK - especially with the DDE, it's a steal when you can get a nice sit-down sandwich plate for just a couple of bucks more than fast food.

I can't recommend it highly enough, though for lunch I choose LTT these days, unless we are doing a big family trip character meal The Plaza is our choice. The only people I don't recommend it to are those looking for more than a salads/sandwiches menu, as you won't find steak or big pasta dishes here.

I guess I am one of the few, but I didn't care for it at all. I also thought that it was a bit pricey for a sandwhich. Everyone has their own opinion though.

We ate at Tony's upon arriving our first day last year, and really enjoyed it, also. Our server was so much fun and I thought the food was really good. Just my two pennies......

I wouldnt give Tonys a bad review but then again I wouldnt give it a great one either. Honestly it was just a so so meal, nothing really bad about it... just nothing fancy or special. I would go back there if I had no other options or if I had no ADRs for that day and they had a last minute opening.

Thanks everyone! I have a son who is a very very picky eater, and so I always like to know as much as I can before trying a new place. The Plaza sounds like a good place to try. I've always wanted to try Tony's but had read such bad reviews on another board, that I decided to do Mama Melrose's instead. Since several of you have said you enjoyed it, I'll have to put that on our list for next trip to try. As long as my son finds things that he will eat, my daughter and I will be fine anywhere :) We're just so happy to get a second trip to Disney this year!

I've eaten at The Plaza Restaurant for lunch. Personally, their food is good. They sell burgers, sandwiches, and of course--ice cream!
