Coming across people on forum sites or in the parks

I have met people from another forum, that I used to frequent, on purpose.

I have met people from yet a different forum, that I have never even read. How? We were on Ellen's Energy Adventure and ended up talking. Then the ride went 101 and her daughter says to her "So, I assume all of this is going into your trip report". Ah, says I, what forum will you be posting your TR on? It was not WDWMAGIC.

I have yet to meet anyone from WDWMAGIC, planned or at random.

On our last trip I saw nibbles at the Magic Kingdom. I don't like to draw attention to myself so I did not yell her name, but I told her later that I saw her. :D

Met a few folks from here, some rather frequently.
Always a good time.
Actually, not all meetings are at Disney. Three of us practically took up residence in a Fudruckers on Sunday.

We need more meets.

I haven't met anyone but I wondered if I was passing any members the whole time we were there. My dh thought I was nuts! I'll have to order a pin next time we go.

I wonder how many members you actually pass without ever knowing. And they're all thinking the same thing, "wonder if there are any members walking around"?

Then you pass someone that looks familiar and you keep walking thinking "That person looked familiar too bad" Then the person you past thinks that. Eventually finding out on here that you did pas them.

I might get a pin for myself. It would be weird for me though walking around and have an adult come over to me! Considering I'll be 14 on my next trip!

I once met someone from this board who walked up to me out of the blue and asked me if I was Jimmy Thick due to the way I described myself in a post. I told him I was and he asked me for my autograph.

I was sincerely flattered.

It has never happened to me because I only went there once and when I did I wasn't a member of these boards. Next time I am at the World I will make sure I have a WDWMagic shirt with me, though.:)

When I was there I found the board days before my arrival to the world. However, I didn't have an account yet.

Hah! That's great!
Never had an autograph request. Posed for a few photos with strangers, though...

One member of the group accounted for.

I guess I'm just a little better known than you are around the World, Lee.
I get asked for autographs by CM's from most restaurants before I leave them...:lookaroun

I ran into one guy at Epcot's 25th. He was wearing a WDWMagic T-shirt so I said hello, and told him I was a member on the boards too. He looked at me awkwardly and then rushed off. Maybe he really had to go to the bathroom and had been holding it all day through all of the festivities. I dunno.
I am really stating to wonder if that was me.:lookaroun

A couple of years ago while dining at AKL my husband pointed to a guy and wondered if it was someone from the boards. When we got home I sent him a message and lo and behold, it was Fizzle.
The Fiz and his wife and I have been in contact for the last couple of years via the site and the wonder that is Facebook, and are hoping at some point to be in the World at the same time so we can finally meet up face to face. :ROFLOL:
