I haven't read them yet...but I do have the first 3 issues of "Trinity."

It's the team made up of Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman.

What is your take on the first three? Because right now I can either take it or leave it...I hope it turns a corner because it just isn't doing a lot for me right now.

Anyway, I have been collecting since the early 80's. My tastes have varied through the years, and I am am starting to run out of room. I have collected as many as 25-30 titles a month at times and all the way down to 5 at others. It just depends on what is good.

Right now, I am getting the following titles - Batman (love the RIP storyline so far...so long, Bruce ), Detective, Batman Confidential, Titans, Trinity, Secret Invasion, Spider-Man, Ultimate Spider-Man, Hulk, Iron Man, Invincible Iron Man, Fantastic Four, Ultimate Fantastic Four.

Sadly I haven't read the Trinity book due to trying to cut back on comic expenses. I was reading Detective Comics and whenever Paul Dini was writing them I thought they were just excellent. I loved his Batman ever since the Animated Series, so his work on the comic just seemed like a perfect idea. I haven't followed Batman RIP, though have heard about it. Tell me, what is that all about?

The only 2 DC books I read now are Green Lantern and Green Lantern Corps. Vertigo I am reading Fables and Jack of Fables. The mini-series Screamland is a great read too. I also read Usagi Yojimbo, which is just an excellent comic all around.

Marvel wise I'm reading Amazing Spider-man. I was reading Ult. Spidey and really enjoyed it but stopped around the clone issues. I've been thinking of getting back into it. Would you recommend? I also get the Stephen King Dark Tower books, cause I'm a big King fan and the art work and coloring in that book is just beautiful.

I wish I could read more because I love the medium so much. Occasionally I'll buy an issue just to see how the book is, but mostly I try to stick to the books above.

Oh, any Scrooge McDuck books written and illustrated by Carl Barks and Don Rosa. The Haunted Mansion book I read as well, though they don't make it anymore.

Jess Nevin's League website basically has the same information as the books, the books just have more detail and include information from Moore and O'Neill themselves. He is doing a book for Black Dossier - it should be out soon and the website is definitely up.

The League movie I was pretty disappointed in. The script felt labored and any changes they made seemed to be designed purely to make it palatable to an American audience hungry for action. It was a shame, but what can you do? It's definitely not as bad as something like Steel, but it's still pretty sub-par. Not every comic movie is going to be good.

That being said...

I really like The Rocketeer. When I first saw it as a child I had no idea it was a comic book adaptation. I just liked the story. Years later I'll watch it and it's still just a fun, well crafted movie. I'd put it on my top ten list of comic-to-film adaptations, easily.

I did read the first two arcs of Fables. Not a bad book, but haven't kept up with it.

When I was young I read a lot of X-Men, but haven't been much into superhero comics lately. Tastes must just be changing. I didn't even get Astonishing even though it's written by Joss Whedon, and I'm definitely a fan of his.

If you liked the first two trades of Fables I recommend trying some more. Things really being to cook and we learn more about the Adversary until we finally find out who the Adversary is. Great story line.

I'll have to get the Black Dossier book from Nevin when it is out.

Have you ever read Bone by Jeff Smith? Amazing book, the trade is over 1,000 pages and is a great story, art, everything. It's a cross between a Disney Uncle Scrooge story and Lord of the Rings. Strange combo, I know, but oh so good.

I've just recently gotten into comics. I've always been a fan of Batman (grew up with the awesome animated series!) but I've been expanding my knowledge lately. My husband has a publishing business and I wanted to be able to talk the talk

Starting last summer I've read: Watchmen, Dark Knight Returns, Y: The Last Man, Fables, Earth X, Tag and Bink Were Here, Johnny the Homicidal Maniac, and I've also read some manga (Love Hina and Ranma 1/2)

I have some more books lined up including Preacher and Sandman to name a couple. And I' m working my way through the Essential X-Men, volume 8 I think.

As I get older I find myself reading less and less super hero comics and more of the type that Diddy mentioned. In fact, the only super hero books I read are Green Lantern and Spider-man.

Diddy Mouse, I didn't notice you listed it until I reread your post, but I loved the Tag and Bink books. So funny and great way to poke fun at the Star Wars stories. Loved the art too.

No, I haven't been reading Secret Invasion. I'm kind of curious as to it myself.

Today being comic day I'll be heading out to get the new issues of Fables, and I think the latest issue to Stephen King's Dark Tower comic. (Marvel is also adapting King's The Stand into a comic.)

I just finished the Starman trade and man, what an incredible comic, one of the best I have ever read!

I'm currently following The Amazing Spider-man, Captain America, Nova, The Mighty Avengers, Thor, Secret Invasion, She-Hulk, The Incredible Herc, Fantastic Four, and the Thunderbolts. I guess I enjoy Marvel.

How is She-Hulk since Slott left? I really loved his writing on that book.

I was reading JMS Thor and liked it but dropped it to cut back book wise. Amazing Spidey is doing OK, some issues better than others.

And it was a sight to behold, I remember.

I can't imagine why they wouldn't have used him as Fury in the new Avengers films...

I'm actually cautiously optimistic about the Ant-Man movie. Now Hank Pym is about as "C-List" as Marvel characters come, but the movie is being writting/directed by Edgar Wright who made Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz, so there's definitely some real potential.

A Thor movie... not so excited about it. I understand they want them all to have solo projects before the Avengers movie is done, but honestly I'd be fine if the cinematic Avengers assembled without a Norse God in their ranks. Adapting Thor to modern audiences and not making it ridiculous is not going to be easy.
