When coming to WDW always come well prepared. Here are a few things to remember.....Any to add?

1) Enough $$ to never have to ask how much it cost

2) Buy Rain Parkers at home for $3 or else pay $8-$10 here

3) Stop at grocery and buy case (s) water for $3 or pay $3+ when here for each bottle

4) Bring something for blisters on feet...oh..and don't wear BRAND NEW sneakers...break them in first

5) I always bring couple rolls of quarters for laundry and game room (kids)

6) AND my own detergent

I could go on but how bout you?

As you mentioned laundry - I take a portable washing line (available from camping outlets) mine has two hooks on each end and consists of 2 lines twisted together so you don't need pegs, just tuck your laundry between the lines - I hang this on the balcony using the 2 chairs!

See, I advise against this, only because I can not stand carrying heavy bottles of water around the parks. I'd rather pay the inflated prices for Dasani. I'm one of those guests who carry a tiny purse and nothing else but if I need something, I'll get in in the parks. Yes, I like to waste money on vacation.

My rule is that if can't fit in a pocket, it can't come to the park. Traveling light ftw.

I'm exactly the same, I go in Sept so I drink alot of water, if I want a bottle of ice cold water I buy one! I spend alot to pay for my vacation so I will spend alot ON vacation! Spending $10 a day on water is fair enough.

10 dollars a day... if you are in FL in the summer that is not enough water. I carry my own bottle and refill whenever I see a bubbler. The water tastes like ____*t but whatever... its free.

I also eat frozen snacks, more fun! I don't find the water fountains cold enough, the taste doesn't bother me, I'm probably also a bit lazy, can't be bothered to find one and line up, reaching into my bag is easier! I shall continue to live dangerously and buy water! Hell I may even buy a coke! How much are the bottles then? I remember at Uni they were $2.75

And here I was hoping for advice on avoiding Brazilian tour groups and overcrowded buses......

Buy light sports mac's instead of the stupid poncho's, then you can wear them again in or out the park. Plus, you will not look ridiculous

I did this once--think it was on my 2003 trip, only brought my one new pair so the first time I walked around with them was at the parks. BIG mistake, possibly the worst blisters i've ever had.

I’d like to know what would happen if a Brazilian tour group all came off a bus at once and walked through the Magic Kingdom pushing strollers and got into line for a fast pass.

Love your signature Richard Blaine, you and I, all country men.

Regarding the discussion on bottled water - I just wanted to point out that every counter service location and cart that serves fountain drinks (if they have a water button) gives cups of complimentary ice water for FREE. I drink a lot of it too, especially if it's hot. And when it is hot, I often ask for 2 cups at a time - one to drink and the other to pour down my shirt in an attempt to cool off!

I also agree with the poster who likes to travel light while in the parks. I only carry what can fit in my pocket. If I buy something, I send it to package pickup (a free service) and pick it up after closing when I am leaving, rather than carry it around all day.

But I agree it is good to be prepared. As the legendary coach John Wooden used to say (often quoted by Bill Walton):

"Failure to prepare is preparing to fail"

My list differs greatly from yours, Iteachwood. A lot of the things on your list don't apply to me. I do bring ponchos/parkas with me though.

Know what attractions you want to see and what they are about. Stopping to ask CMs at the entrance of each attraction 'what is this?' is a waste of everyone's time.

If you have dietary restrictions, do some research before you come. Know where and what you can eat. Even if you don't have dietary restrictions, have an idea of which place serves what cuisine.

Pack clothing and footwear appropriate for the weather.

Know the height of your children and the height restrictions on rides.

I pulled a full epcot / MK day open to close with boat shoes ... no sock

wow, that was smart

I always drink two bottles of water before I go to bed at night while at WDW. Yes, I am up a couple times using the restroom during the night.... but I awake nicely hydrated. It's amazing how much less you need the water during the day when you hydrate at night.
