Trip Report Come in February they said...it will be fun they said....Dray's attempt at a live report Part Deux!!

Forgive me if this first post is short. I had 4 paragraphs written earlier but they got erased. Most of you know my style, so the pictures won't be posted until we get home but don't let that stop you from following along.

So it's the four of us as usual, me, the Mrs. and the two teens (Ashley-14 and Justin-13). We flew in yesterday from Memphis. Take off was at 1030 with a 120 landing. After we got our rental SUV we headed to the Super Target and then to All Star Sports. We got checked in and then headed to Epcot for a couple of hours.

The first ride we hit was Spaceship Earth and that's when four cheerleaders showed why they have such a bad reputation. Two of them spent half of the ride standing up and dangling their leg over the side of the vehicle. Then we went to the Japan pavilion followed by thr Three Caballeros, Imagination and then Living with the Land.

After that we headed to Hollywood Studios for their EMH. We took a couple of spins on TSMM and TGMR while the gals hit the ToT and ARnRC. Then we went off site for some grub and back to the resort to sleep.

Today we came to the MK and honestly, it's no longer magical at this park. Heck, I almost got into a fight getting ONTO the ferry, but I'll finish this up later.

I know Mardi gras and Presidents' Day is next week so I would think the crowds wouldn't be too bad right now but come Friday, good luck with that!

And of course Pirates is still down and Haunted Mansion is down. Good thing we have AP's and we've been enough to make it worth it or I might have something to complain about...

So, the rest of the night wasn't too bad. Pirates stayed down but I was able to squeeze in a ride on the Haunted Mansion. I also took two spins on the Jungle Cruise and Skippers Emily and Gregg (I think) were great. Didn't catch either of the Electrical Parades but I will another night. All in all it wasn't too bad of an evening after a crowded day. The sad part is that the Brazilians were the behaved while the Americans were not. That leads me to the ferry incident. As we were walking through the waiting dock towards the bridge to load, we got separated by a guy and his stroller and small child. Well, out of nowhere, his wife walk up next to me and literally puts her hand on my shoulder and pushes me to the side so she can catch up with them. I said hey, don't push me. She says "shut the f up", and from there her husband tried to intimidate me. It was quite hilarious and I mocked him and strolled off. It took a lot for me to not punch him in the throat, so I considered it a small victory. Anyways, I'll post as we hit more parks and thanks for reading.

Yikes! It sounds like you're visiting at peak moronic-guest season?! I'm sorry to hear about all the idiots you are running into. I'd be like, "don't you people know this is the happiest place on earth?! Act like it!"

Next time, smile and tell them to "Have a MAGICAL day!" ;)

I hope the rest of your visit is less crowded and more pleasant.

Hope the rest of the trip continues to improve. You can't let a couple of dubs ruin your day, although I highly agree mocking, does help. There is nothing more frustrating then people who act entitled or that's all about them at Disney. Enjoy the rest of your trip.

Hearing reports of POTC and HM being down makes me nervous, even though my trip is not until June.:(
I have also had similar incidents happen to me. It just makes me shake my head and wonder how we as a society became so nasty so quickly. It is really disheartening when it happens at Disney.
Enjoy your trip and look forward to more reports.

Yeah, we drove but only because we're staying at the all stars sports so I figured the drive would take a lot longer via bus than when I drive.

Today has been better, got a late start at Epcot but have only done Living with the Land. Much more crowded that we thought it would be but nothing that major. I'm loving the cooler weather though.

Lately, I have been hearing a lot of these stories of the "entitled" people thinking the park revolves around them. I am a pass holder and go for long weekends about 3-4 times a year. I try to actual go out of my way to help people and be kind because I always have great trips and hope that I can help spread the good Disney karma around but people who push, curse(I curse like a sailor at home, but never a Disney!) and are just overall moronic really can kill the magic!

Yeah, we've planned FPs as best as we could, given that we planned the trip within the 60 day time frame. Today was mostly Epcot. The Brazilians have definitely arrived. The weather has been really nice. Wore a hoodie all day long.

Anyone know if there was some kind of special after hours event at Epcot tonight or do tons of locals come for Illuminations every night?

Today has been another lazy day. We headed to Downtown Disney around noon and we REALLY dig the parking structure. It's really cool how they have the sensors set up to show how many spots are available. Plus my son really enjoyed parking on the third level and looking out into the horizon.

We grabbed a couple of ornaments from the Christmas store and headed off site to the Target again. Then we headed to the Magic Kingdom and we arrived about 30 minutes or so ago. I booked FPs for the Speedway and now we're in line for Buzz.

It's pretty darn crowded for what's supposed to be off peak, but the fact that I'm not sweating to death makes it more than okay with me. At least tomorrow we go back to my favorite, Epcot. That will include our only ADR, San Angel Inn, so that's exciting.
