Trip Report Come in February they said...it will be fun they said....Dray's attempt at a live report Part Deux!!

Forgive me if this first post is short. I had 4 paragraphs written earlier but they got erased. Most of you know my style, so the pictures won't be posted until we get home but don't let that stop you from following along.

So it's the four of us as usual, me, the Mrs. and the two teens (Ashley-14 and Justin-13). We flew in yesterday from Memphis. Take off was at 1030 with a 120 landing. After we got our rental SUV we headed to the Super Target and then to All Star Sports. We got checked in and then headed to Epcot for a couple of hours.

The first ride we hit was Spaceship Earth and that's when four cheerleaders showed why they have such a bad reputation. Two of them spent half of the ride standing up and dangling their leg over the side of the vehicle. Then we went to the Japan pavilion followed by thr Three Caballeros, Imagination and then Living with the Land.

After that we headed to Hollywood Studios for their EMH. We took a couple of spins on TSMM and TGMR while the gals hit the ToT and ARnRC. Then we went off site for some grub and back to the resort to sleep.

Today we came to the MK and honestly, it's no longer magical at this park. Heck, I almost got into a fight getting ONTO the ferry, but I'll finish this up later.

Today has been another lazy day. We headed to Downtown Disney around noon and we REALLY dig the parking structure. It's really cool how they have the sensors set up to show how many spots are available. Plus my son really enjoyed parking on the third level and looking out into the horizon.

We grabbed a couple of ornaments from the Christmas store and headed off site to the Target again. Then we headed to the Magic Kingdom and we arrived about 30 minutes or so ago. I booked FPs for the Speedway and now we're in line for Buzz.

It's pretty darn crowded for what's supposed to be off peak, but the fact that I'm not sweating to death makes it more than okay with me. At least tomorrow we go back to my favorite, Epcot. That will include our only ADR, San Angel Inn, so that's exciting.
The heat can be more tiring than the crowds, and when you have both well that's just bad. Glad to hear it's a comfortable temp. San Angel inn is really good. We just tried La Hacienda de San Angel on the water side. Food was very good and it was a good spot for illuminations.

Seriously, do Brazilians even work? How can they be here every single month of the year in such force? I already ran into a chant group last night in the World Showcase. I told my family that I'm making a banner for the next trip that will say Go Home Brasil that I'm going to put up for such incidents.

But most are not just well behaved but outright friendly and have wished Amy and the kids a happy birthday. I love the Magic Kingdom at night.

July and around mid Jan - mid Feb are their school breaks. Go right after marathon weekend in January and it's pretty quiet (usually)

Hey Mr. Dray, remember you could be at work instead... grab yourself a jalapeno margarita and let the good times roll. Don't let the bad manners or foreign manners of other folks cramp your style. Take a deep breath and remember this is YOUR VACATION and they are simply background noise.
Peace brother

I know a handful of NJ school districts have winter break this week + you're getting the elevated crowds with President's Day weekend and any of the LA districts that have off for Mardi Gras. think today is actually considered a peak day, so that may also be why. Well, hopefully the crowds won't put a damper on things.

As for the rudeness, I'm on a WDW FB group and a number of people have posted about really rude guests this week...on par with what happened to you guys. I really don't understand why some people think this is acceptable.

Oh well, I hope things improve with your trip. :)

I forgot to mention that the other day when we rode on Loving with the Land, we saw them fishing out a dead sturgeon. First time seeing a dead fish in there.

Last night was great, as the crowds thinned out a little for the last 3 hours. Have I mentioned the amount of disdain I have for that stupid dance party? Totally ruins the final scene in the Carousel of Progress.

Now we're at Epcot and it's nice and chilly. Having a great time.
