TBH I'd like to see more ambitious changes like what's happening at WDW come to DLR. I know the DL faithful like to boast about how much better DLR is than WDW, but the roster of upcoming new amenities and attractions in Florida are far more enticing to me than what's currently in the pipeline for California. For the first time in decades I'm more excited for what's in store for WDW than DLR.

Just today I came across an article describing how WDW has expanded it's mobile app ordering service recently to nearly two dozen restaurants across all four theme parks. Meanwhile, at Disneyland, guests pay a premium for a watered down version of MyMagic+ with fewer benefits.

Meh. The only new attractions coming to WDW that seems interesting to me are the Mickie & Minnie ride and Star Wars Land. Toy Story land? Looks cheap like all the TSLs' around the globe. Guardians of the Galaxy? Tame roller coaster with 0 inversions and 0 AA's. Ratatouille? It's primarily SCREENZ a la Universal.

I was intrigued by TRON, but then I saw the ride through on Youtube and noticed it was only 1 minute long and thought the outdoor portion ruined the whole "being in a video game/computer" concept. Sure it's probably a fun ride, but it doesn't excite me.

The Mickey ride looks like a fresh concept. I was disappointed at first they didn't use the classic Mickey style, but it hasn't dampened my enthusiasm for the ride.

Star Wars land is coming to DLR, so the Mickey ride is the 1 attraction I'm excited about at WDW.

There's a strong likelihood DLR will receive the Mickey attraction too...

Being able to go to disneyland and actually get fastpasses and experience all attractions, shows, and restaurants the day-of is the best benefit and it requires less intervention to achieve.

D'Amaro was apparently put in charge of an up-charge events planning group this past summer. Maybe he is heading Club 33 in WDW. I don't know.

New theory: He's been recruited to launch the star wars: galaxy's edge upcharge event that will last indefinitely, making it a half-third gate.

No worries, You will have tents in tomorrowland in no time!
Tent City! Tomorrowland will be very realistic and dystopian moving forward. It'll look a lot like Angel Stadium.

I think WDW gets a bad rap on the forums. Part of it is deserved, but not nearly all of it. I agree the upcoming roster is much more appealing for WDW, but how much it becomes reality is up in the air. It appears the theater for Magic Kingdom was cut. How much else will be?

It is pretty bizarre how much more high tech WDW is than DLR. Regional parks even have wifi now and DLR only has a few hot spots and I found speed and coverage to be terrible.

What happened to Mary Niven? They moved her from VP for DCA where she was credited with managing the rollout of DCA 2.0. When they moved her into the new position of SVP of the resort it was widely assumed that she was being groomed for President of the DL Resort. Whaaaa?

I’ve used both. MaxPass was much better than MM+, IMO.
