Coffee at the resorts?

The coffee is Joffreys, and it tastes like it was brewed out of a cow's rear end.
That is the same opinion I have about Starbucks.

Do you know why people put all that added stuff (milk, cream, caramel, whipped topping, etc...) to their Starbucks coffee???
- Because Starbucks coffee alone "tastes like it was brewed out of a cow's rear end".

Oh I'm not defending Starbucks one bit. I equally hate their coffee too.

I didn't see this answered, but villas have traditional coffee makers.

Yes, and I find it ironic that BCV has traditional coffee makers, yet just over at the BC, they have Keurigs. That explains why, when DH and I were in a BCV studio and found that we had the 4 cup coffee maker (in a studio that holds 5 people?) and called for a full size coffee maker, we were told they were all out. Probably only had Keurigs, and those are for the BC.:(:(

Admittedly all my family likes it this way. None of us like the single cup dispensers (for taste and waste of it all) and it is far easier to bring coffee and filters than a bunch of cups. I'm a bit shocked about the 4 cup because I saw even at Copper Creek (new) they had I believe 12 cup makers. Though looking at pics that seems standard at BCV. Wonder why they went that way with the reno. We don't do studios much so I hadn't noticed that.

Kind of funny that they have Keurig at the deluxe resorts. You'd think they'd at least have Nespresso. I'll probably bring my own. I'm staying at the Grand Floridian Club Level so maybe the lounge will have something passable.
I watched a youtube video that the DIS put out recently on one of the refurbished Coronado rooms and they had a Keurig maker in the room with a variety of pods.

Fortunately no, they are not doing k-cups. I think many members might revolt if they did LOL as many like to bring their coffee from home too :)
I can't stand K cup coffee.
I'm sure it's mostly instant because they can't possibly stuff enough good quality coffee in one of those little pods to make it taste decent.
I'm reminded of a quote attributed to Abraham Lincoln when he was served a weak cup of coffee.
"If this is coffee, please bring me some tea; but if this is tea, please bring me some coffee."
If we have one in a hotel room I use a reusable pod and stuff it with recently ground good quality coffee and use half a cup of water.

That quote had been my Facebook bio since 2009!!!

Joffrey's get unwarranted hate from 99% of this forum, but that's to be expected when they hate most everything at WDW these days. It is by far not the best coffee out there but it satisfies my cravings. Disney could have opted for worse, imo

My tummy couldn't tolerate NesCafe syrup based, pretend fresh coffee for years and years. Joffery I can drink and not have a tummy ache. Me, a pod in room is a pod in a room no matter how it is branded, couple that with Orlando's water, yuck.

Does anyone believe that housekeeping has ever cleaned these pod coffee machines in room according to manufacture recommendations? Doubtful they have ever been cleaned.
Nope not drinking anything from those machines, at least I see the machines at QS being serviced nightly.

What is it with Orlando water? Absolute yuck...and showering with it, double yuck. The water leaves my hair feeling and looking like straw. I bring my same shampoo from home, but it barely lathers in Orlando water. And conditioner seems not to 'take'. Fortunately my hair is long enough for a ponytail. It's still a ponytail of straw, but but my hair is really thick, so it's better than wearing it down and looking like I have a bale of hay on my head.

GF club lounge has Nepresso. Only place I saw a Keurig was in the suite rooms at GF - pods included Donut Shop and Green Mountain. Kinda ticked that some of the moderates are getting Keurigs, while DVC still has that sad coffee maker.

Disney water is very soft. I don't have any issue with either body wash, shampoo or conditioner. I bring my own.

If it's the Cuisinart pod one, just pull the little pod holder out and wash it off. Same with the small coffee makers. In the DVC rooms with a kitchen, housekeeping puts the glass carafe and coffee basket in the dishwasher.

Keurig makes cleansing pods - I use one once a week in mine. You can also run a cup of white vinegar diluted with a cup of water through the machine - just make sure to brew several cups of water afterwards. And Keurigs recommends using bottled or filtered water. I don't make coffee or tea with tap water - chlorine affects the taste.

I opened up a k cup. It's not instant, just very finely ground.

Like most DVC rooms, Copper Creek has that 12 cup coffee maker. Was hoping they'd put Keurigs in so I could stop bringing mine. Uni top tier resorts have had Keurigs in their rooms for years.

I'm sure most Keurigs owners have a My K cup or two, like me, to brew their own coffee.
