Club Level Rooms

I read elsewhere a comment that WDW sells out its Club Level rooms. I've never looked into these because the prices seemed steep, perhaps another $150 on top of the price of a room at a Deluxe Resort.

Could those of you who have stayed in one of these room tell me if you thought they were worth the price? What were the perks you thought gave you the most bang-for-the-buck?

Thanks!

I've stayed CL at AKL & YC, both on a 40% discount so it made the price a little more bearable. For what we paid I felt we got the right bang:buck ratio. Both rooms had amazing views. The level of personal service whenever we needed anything was great. Having the refreshments was a strong perk with 2 growing teen boys who seem to have bottomless stomachs. The lounge area at the AKL felt like an extension of our living space because it became a central location to sit together, have a snack, relax, and not be sitting in the room on our beds. It felt more like hanging out in a den or something vs. each others bedrooms. Felt more natural. If I could get the rooms with a strong discount I feel it's absolutely worth it to us. At rack rates, not a chance. :)

Aside from the view the club rooms are largely the same as the regular rooms. Where you see the real difference is with the club itself. There will be a variety of food there throughout day and it is a great place for a quick meal or snack. Also the CM's that man the club desk are some of the best you will find in WDW. Have a question, problem, concern or just feel like chatting and they can help you. This is especially helpful for guests that are not Disney pros.

club level rooms are something we book for a special occasion but not looking at saving or making up money. we've done it at wl, contemporary, poly, gf, and bwi. the only places i felt it was worth it enough to do it again was at the poly and gf with gf being the better of those two. i probably wouldn't do it again at any of the others i listed.

We have stayed at Contemporay, Beach Club, AKL, and Boardwalk Club levels. We enjoyed them all, but AKL the most. It says standard view, but that includes the savannah view. We did 2 different morning excursions to AK that were only offered to club level guests. There are some other nice perks you can read about on the disney website and a few other "unofficial sites." Not sure it was ever worth the price, but? Hope this helps.

Until we stayed at the GF, we were loyal fans of Hawaii at the Poly. Always in December. More than once, in conversation with the desk, they commented on occupancy rates being between 95+% for several months at a time. Maybe not all the rooms, especially from a hotel to hotel perspective, but I don't think any of the deluxes are have what one would consider a lot of empty rooms.

We have done Poly Concierge the last 5 or 6 trips. I didn't think the room was any different than the rooms that weren't considered Club Level. The perk of having the lounge available, plus the Concierge staff's help and suggestions, were priceless to us. Yes,the cost is a little steep, but well worth it to us.

Not old, just vintage.
I've done club level at the Poly for a 40% discount. I wouldn't hesitate to do it again. The room wasn't any different than the standard room but the view was amazing. I enjoyed visiting the lounge many times throughout my stay and the CMs that work the CL building are wonderful. I'm a 20+ year Disney veteran but I still found their services helpful and they were some of the best CMs I've encountered on property.
