Harambe House is placed in a location they had space and between arguably the two most popular lands in the park. A savannah location wouldn’t have been as easily accessible.

I had no idea you still had to pay for food after shelling out a fortune just for the membership. I always assumed it was part of the deal, go inside and have snacks for free.
That's pretty standard with all private members clubs, the fee just gets membership.

Most clubs have quarterly spend quotas which a member must meet to maintain a membership in good standing.

I like what they’ve done in terms of club development while still maintaing a reasonable yearly price point for members.

Clearly, no one commenting on the process has ever been through it.

My interviews were in three parts. They background check. They ask about financials. I'm a part of Golden Oak, so it made things a little easier, but it was still a process.

It was not just writing a check.
Hmm. Sounds like Bushwood Country Club...

I think I’ll save my money and hang out at one of the hotel lobbies that seems to be just as luxurious as this?

Glad to finally see what I’ve been missing! It’s even more underwhelming than I expected.

Did they do any real work at Epcot? That vip Lounge was pretty nice as is.

The level of subversive envy on this thread is entertaining.

Bottom line, I'd say that 99.9% of people here would join 33 if it was a viable option. Disney has made it tough and rightfully so.

The clubs in the Orlando parks are just a small facet of membership: Private events, attraction previews, organized travel, limited-edition merchandise, immediate access to the plaids, etc. The mouse makes sure that it feels like money well spent.

agreed. So much jealousy...

disney world is for the wealthy. It’s shown though the price of eveything for admission to a bottle of water. Golden oak, club 33... it’s all very elite. But that doesn’t mean you have to throw hate at the people that can afford it.

I’d join the California one for sure. The Florida one? Doubtful. I think it’s pretty laughable what Disney is charging to allow you to sit in a hotel lobby / bar. I mean most days you can get a seat at the nomad lounge just as easy!

The one in MK is at least special because it serves alcohol in a non-restaurant or dessert party setting.

Why would you join the CA one? How much do you know about either besides what you’ve read here?

Cause I’m a total history geek. Walt planned to entertain guests there etc. (I wish I had taken the tour before they redid the lobby but such is life).

Plus it’s a legit “old California” private club. Just has a lot of history to it that I think is cool. Same as magic castle in LA.

Are you a member in Florida? What made you feel like joining and do you feel it’s worth it?
