That's pretty standard with all private members clubs, the fee just gets membership.I had no idea you still had to pay for food after shelling out a fortune just for the membership. I always assumed it was part of the deal, go inside and have snacks for free.

Hmm. Sounds like Bushwood Country Club...Clearly, no one commenting on the process has ever been through it.
My interviews were in three parts. They background check. They ask about financials. I'm a part of Golden Oak, so it made things a little easier, but it was still a process.
It was not just writing a check.
Anyway, I appreciate hearing the different perspectives in this thread. Hope that didn't come across as too smug or superior.
I’m sure the club recruiters will be devastated to hear that some of you aren’t interested in membership. I’m sure they’re having a REALLY hard time filling the rolls.
Well, as attributed to Groucho Marx, I would never join a club that would have me as a member.I’m sure the club recruiters will be devastated to hear that some of you aren’t interested in membership. I’m sure they’re having a REALLY hard time filling the rolls.
How dare you?? They’re not cupcake parties — they’re fireworks parties. It’s just expensive reserved viewing. And worth it to some. Vive la différence!Oh I know they are turning people away. Just like their cupcake parties sell out. I just don’t see the value in it.
thats actually reasonable.A small plate of caviar only $150?
The level of subversive envy on this thread is entertaining.
Bottom line, I'd say that 99.9% of people here would join 33 if it was a viable option. Disney has made it tough and rightfully so.
The clubs in the Orlando parks are just a small facet of membership. Private events, previews, travel, merchandise, immediate access to the plaids, etc. The mouse makes sure that it feels like money well spent.

Why would you join the CA one? How much do you know about either besides what you’ve read here?I’d join the California one for sure. The Florida one? Doubtful. I think it’s pretty laughable what Disney is charging to allow you to sit in a hotel lobby / bar. I mean most days you can get a seat at the nomad lounge just as easy!
The one in MK is at least special because it serves alcohol in a non-restaurant or dessert party setting.
Cause I’m a total history geek. Walt planned to entertain guests there etc. (I wish I had taken the tour before they redid the lobby but such is life). Why would you join the CA one? How much do you know about either besides what you’ve read here?
