I get the attraction of this club at Disneyland, but this seems to be nothing more than a glorified bar in Orlando if I’m understanding what I’m reading. Are people really going to play $10,000+ for access to a bar?
Well, don't forget the Annual Premium Pass that comes with that...

I better start saving now (yea right) for my platinum club 33-- $100K buy in $30k annual dues. While I'm at it I might as well join the DVC $13K or more buy in, $1k annual maintenance fee- but I do get a discount on AP $1.2K for 2 passes. May be Disney should build a WDW elite them park for the rich and famous oh, I think they may be doing that now at WDW

And a crap ton of FPs too, right?

I feel kind of bad for considering WDW's 33. Looking at DL's, it looked like something worth it. The look of the club, the history, the "classiness". But knowing what Epcots will be based off of pictures of the Chase club (and insiders saying minimal work to get it ready), I have a feeling (and many others here seem to) that it will be a minimal, low effort cash in.

I don't think the lowest tier has access to the bar but I am not a member so I don't know the limits to membership. DL only has 6 seats at the bar and a few tables so they wouldn't want those pikers that paid 13K to get in to clutter up the place.

Sorry I should have clarified. The WDW has been said to be a glorified bar. I was saying are people really going to pay $10,000 for that?

I see the numbers being thrown around here and just have to shake my head. I cannot fathom having that level of truly disposable income. I guess I'm just not in the New Disney demographic, the one where you have to be loaded and/or willing to shell out north of $10k to have a "MAGICAL!!! Walt Disney World Resort vacation". :greedy:

I think what truly makes my heart hurt is that this is just another example of how the WDW of today is not my, or my father's, WDW any longer. :(

For what it's worth, the lowest level membership to Club 33 at Disneyland inncludes (amongst other things):
  • 2 Premium Annual Passes (valid at Disneyland and DCA)
  • 50 Park Hopper tickets per year for friends and family
(Granted this may be old info)

The annual passes alone are worth over $1000 each and one could argue that the tickets are worth ~$100 each so there is some hard value to the membership (more than just bragging rights).
