Better?! High praise! I consider New Orleans Square to be Disneyland's strongest land, so that's saying something.

Again, why didn't they make something like this for DCA?! What a weird park!
Agreed New Orleans Square is my favorite land in Disneyland -- however the one drawback I have to it is it's too quaint. The paths are too narrow and they have E ticket stacked on E ticket.

From Indy, to Pirates, to Haunted Mansion -- it creates such a bottleneck...and Pacific Wharf fixes that, while still having the quaint feel. Even looking at its design, it's designed much differently than the other lands in our park, similar to New Orleans Square with the side streets and stuff rather than winding paths.

And yes! Why isn't Pacific Wharf in DCA? Shame!

Well, Pacific Wharf IS in DCA -

But it's just a food court based on Monterrey.

They DID try creating a San Francisco land. All they wound up making were some facades for a restroom. Seriously.

That's almost like making a theme park about animals, then neglecting to make the dragon land. ;)

Haha I was being sarcastic (which is hard to pick up in text, I know:p) We had that discussion about the land's name a few days ago being the same as DCA, but yours is better.

And that is sad that it only became a restroom...but not as sad as this:hilarious:

Now the real question...what's the background music of Pacific Wharf?

Even though it's dated after 1905 -- I could see this playing in the background in the land while sitting on a bench in the shade looking out onto the bay -- so relaxing

I've been pondering that question. Jazz was big in SF circa 1905, but it all sounds too NOS. Main Street music is the right era, but also sounds wrong to me. The best I've come up with is ragtime, which is more like the music from a 1920s silent film, but I think it captures the land's spirit:

Track #3 - Olde Timey -- sounds like the silent film type of music and feels like what you're going for!

Good find!

I don't know if this was mentioned before but Douglas what were your thoughts on detailing the map a bit. I'm sure Imagineerland will add a bit of his own touch to it once he sketches it out...but to go along with our kinetics discussion anywhere you think needs some touch ups? (Started on the Adventureland grassy islands in the walkways)

It's hard to say with some land's which are still developing, which I'm not as familiar with. I know there was talk about adding big boats all along the west side's waterways, but the bridges rule out something huge like Mark Twain. Could the Mike Fink Keelboats fit under bridges if they're high enough?

And I think some assorted islands around some of the larger water areas, like Adventureland's center and in Fantasia Gardens outside of the central ring. Stuff like waterfalls and geysers will be popping up all over Frontierland, which will be great.

Identifying streetmosphere for each land will liven them all up!

Cool! We can think about it more throughout the week and wait for some more ideas. As of now -- I am drained on ideas haha need to sleep on it.

I fibbed haha -- one last thing while it's on my mind.

Tomorrow I'll make a list of all the attractions that haven't been written up (or if you want to get a head start you can just check the cumulative thread linked below and see which slots are empty)

Space Mountain is on that list of needed attractions. If it is okay...I would like to take that write-up (if you need the reason why see my username:p) I promise you will not be disappointed.

Ok - now goodnight!:bookworm:

@D Hindley - take a look at the new Pacific Wharf and let me know what you think!

Also for everyone -- the adjustments have been made to the "Lost Boys Play Area", Big Hero 6, and Tomorrowland

In addition -- if you look in the top left corner I started to detail the pathways specific for each land, this one was Adventureland @JackWatkinson

Adventurelands for example tend to have islands of foliage, creating winding pathways around the greenery.

Let me know what you think of doing this for the rest of the map -- or if @Imagineerland has any suggestions as well!
I like it!

I LOVE Star Tunnel. One of my favourite queues, and the theme always gives me the feels. That's why I downloaded it on my phone :p
