The facade would blend, I'm working on some drafts rn, hold your vote haha

Given that most of the Fantasia area would actually be on the hub side of Fantasyland (basically a castle side Matterhorn) i don't think we have to worry too much about conflicts in theme. The castle itself will be attached to a courtyard that also separates it from the rest of the land.

Transitions are important! But we have good ones already planned. Frontierland to Fantasyland will be a unifying forest, the forest to London involves more Tudor tangled architecture migrating to more urban London style. The Urban section is separated by a valley the train goes through and bridges over and under that train. The urban section becomes countryside and village rather naturally and those two join up and the entrance to Fantasyland on the east is an aqueduct bridge that the circus is stationed outside of. The Fantasia section comes off that and would be distinguished by rock work and gardens that flow naturally into the gardens of the hub.

Still vote Fantasia :p furthermore what about making winnie the pooh a flume ride? Like i saw concept art for a ride in which guests board umbrellas, this ride could also be in and outdoor.
Maybe. Winnie the Pooh started off as a flume ride in its original plans in Disneyland. However, I'm worried it will clash with Pinocchio in Fantasyland, or Splash in Critter Country, depending on where it goes.

We also need to consider how the castle will look from Main Street as well. It needs to flow together visually from that angle too.
No matter how hard we try, a castle in front of a 19 century town will never make thematic sense. We're just so used to it though that it makes sense. But hey, that was part of Walt Disney's creative brilliance. He was bold enough to put together the two, and pull them off. As long as our design isn't too crazy or extravagant, it should flow fine.

This is very true. While not perfect, there actually is a "story" behind why there is a castle at the end of Main Street from an architecture point of view.

How would a more fantasy oriented castle blend in. That is of course if we actually want to have a traditional Main Street, or have it be a unique "Mickey Avenue" and Gardens of Imagination entrance like in Shanghai.

It would be awesome to have a more expansive Mickey avenue like area, maybe with more attractions too, to make it more like a land instead of just a walkway to the rest of the park. And there's a lot to choose from with Disney shorts and Silly Symphonies for example.
I agree -- if the choice is eventually Fantasia, then that would blend so much better and actually be a chance to try something different.

Nightly Recap - Fantasyland Project
img_3024-jpg.193214

To keep this short and sweet, the main takeaways from today are:
- The map above is a pretty solid representation of what the eventual land will look like (give or take a few adjustments)
- @LSCreative has started on his Theater show -- and posted a section of it, with some 3D rendering to come!
- @Skipper of the SEA has stepped up with some interest in Mr. Toad! So over the next few days we can talk about some ideas for that attraction.
- Brainstorming is still going strong in both the Villains Mini-land and BatB threads -- with the attractions coming together and getting more people involved in the discussion.
- The last main point of order is the current poll on what theme we should have for the Castle:

As of now, 6 have voted -- and the tally is:

3 - Snow White's Castle
3 - Fantasia

Chime in and vote for your favorite over the next few days and then we can get started on that too -- as well as continue to flesh out the land. It's coming along really nicely! Hopefully everyone is enjoying the process:)

Goodnight everyone!
My vote is Fantasia.
