Wow! thank you. This is so helpful. I didn't know what the colors meant or anything. what do the QS and S stand for? and whats pacific wharf? i saw the name a couple of times but even figment couldnt really explain it.
No problem!

TS = Table Service Restaurant - so something like Be Our Guest Restaurant in the Magic Kingdom
QS = Quick Service Restaurant - something like Columbia Harbor House in the Magic Kingdom where it's more Fast Food and cheaper options
S = Shop -- any kind of merchandise shop

Pacific Wharf is @D Hindley 's land -- if you want to read more about it he can explain it better -- here!:)

@FigmentPigments, wishing you a strong recovery and I'm overjoyed that you seem to be doing well so far!

If you have any further Pacific Wharf questions for me, do please ask. In particular, any questions which might relate to your creation of The Museum of the Weird, which is planned for this land. It is currently placed in a San Francisco Chinatown area, which shares some backstory details with the nearby Tower of Tower. And no need to rush. :)

With @Imagineerland saying that he will have more time to begin the official map early next week -- we took it as an incentive to try and come up with the most complete park map we can, so once he starts work on the map -- we aren't switching things around on him.

For reference, here is an example of one of his completed maps
qfrXmal.jpg

They are really good! So I think we all are excited to see the final draft.

That being said -- anything in the original map that we want changed/edited/adjusted -- I just tagged everyone involved in the project if they wanted to give their opinions this week.

As of a few days ago - this was our park layout
33657603493_f8a09de5ca_b.jpg

Each land divided by color scheme for the time being

Light Purple- Fantasia Gardens (Entrance to the park)
Pink - Fantasyland
Brown - Critter Country
Orange - Frontierland
Green - Adventureland
Maroon - Pacific Wharf
Purple - Villains Land
Blue - Tomorrowland

This is the map that @MonorailRed map to account for the adjustments. Just from the eye test, some things have been removed/adjusted.
mapupdate-png.204227

So far the changes are as follows (trying to go clockwise around the park)

Fantasia Gardens
- Mickey's Disneyland Celebration - a new show by @mickeyfan5534 in front of Fantasia Castle
- New layout of the entrance to combine both an Oasis type entrance with the fluid, linear "Main Street" with shops along the sides of the main street. Design by @D Hindley
- Possibly a parade going from Villains Land around the hub and ending by the river rafts.

Pacific Wharf
- No Changes so far

Frontierland
- Possible re-route of walking paths (nothing confirmed)
- Possible name change to Westernland @HMF
- Move of Splash to Frontierland (on the table - not confirmed)
- Move of Country Bear Jamboree to Frontierland (on table - not confirmed)
- Removal of CBJ from the park - not confirmed.

Critter Country
- Complete removal of the land and fusion with surrounding lands of Fantasyland, Adventureland, Frontierland (confirmed) basically as some have mentioned the need for this land is creating a bottleneck and it could be better served as a part of other lands rather than its own. However the ideas from Critter Country will still be used.

Adventureland
- Moana Lagoon show - confirmed (rather than a ride - we will have a show on the water)
- @DlpPhantom 's Pirates attraction is possibly going to be our Pirates of the Caribbean attraction on the map

Fantaysland
- Possible move of Splash Mountain to Fantasyland (on the table - not confirmed)
- Phases - Phase 1 attractions would be the ones that are complete, and Phase 2 attractions would be ones that are still in development. This would cut down the number of attractions in Fantasyland (so it's more on par with the other lands) - not confirmed but a thought
- Removal of the Fantasyland Stage in the middle of the land - confirmed.

Villains Land
- Removal of Villains Land Train Station and placement in Tomorrowland instead.
- Possible addition of Bill Cipher attraction
- Possible addition of Cruela De Vil attraction
- Subtraction of other areas like the Elephant Graveyard.
- All else in the land confirmed.

Tomorrowland
- Needs Restaurants and shops. All else in the land confirmed.

Miscellaneous
- Possible inclusion of Rescuers Down Under attraction, Home on the Range attraction, Finding Nemo attraction (nothing confirmed)
- Route to Sydney Springs (the shopping center) in the front of the park - confirmed -- needs to be added
- Restaurants and shop ideas still needed for a variety of areas in the park except Pacific Wharf - which is complete.

------------------------------

Hopefully this helps summarize it! Any questions feel free to ask or if I missed something please add it in.

Disney will never sign off on a "Home on the Range" Attraction (and for good reasons)

Noted and will be taken into consideration for the map!

Thank you so much for this!

I would keep Splash on an island and just keep it in Frontierland. In Fantasyland it may remove some stuff, but it's a good idea. I would also cut down the attractions in Fantasyland like was mentioned. We have 2 E-Tickets and several D-Tickets in Fantasyland when a park would never open with that many.

Noted for map!

I think I figured out how to make everything flow after some sketches yesterday on break... Map will be completed tomorrow! :D

Map Update.... Here's the plan...:bookworm:

Frontierland/Critter Country Becomes sub-land of Fantasyland.... "Tall Tales Town" or something like that... Representing American folklore and stories. That Transitions into Advetureland Via the UP Attraction... America to South America.... not bad...

Pirates Keeps a similar layout, but is moved as well.....

Tiki Room is now on the water with Moana Stage Show seating... the quick service is next to the stadium to easily upsell snacks during the show.

Adventureland moves to be next to pacific wharf... which transitions from the Tiki Rook (Pacific) to San Fran... which makes sense.

Outback Goes in Adventureland's place... Making the American Wild West Transition to the outback make a little more sense o_O

(Honestly, if @D Hindley is okay with it... I may flip Adventureland/Outback area to go in the bottom left of the map... With Pacific Wharf and Tall tales in the top left. Keeping the America section close together.)

Thoughts on this everyone?

I'll be at work again soon... I won't be on much... I'm going to try to glance at the forum on break...

Comments today on the map plan will for sure be taken into consideration! :D

I'll admit I'm a little confused with the proposed changes, although I'm sure the completed map Red is proposing will clarify my confusion.

The question is moving Pacific Wharf perhaps, with perhaps another land like Adventureland (instead of Frontierland) bordering it? Tentatively, I'm okay with that.

The PW theme and backstory tie into the South Pacific stuff nearly as well as Frontierland - both are sources of PW's residents and culture, and Tower of Terror's Barbary has profited from them both. With the map completed, I might have some further opinions, but for now Red I say go for it!

Hey all, sorry I kinda disappeared from the project, but I just can't keep up with the pace and sheer amount of ideas and discussion while also taking care of my own life. I saw a concept map recently of your plans and it looks great.

But, with the free time I do have, I'm "hopefully" planning on using it to create a portfolio piece for entry into grad school to pursue the imagineering thing as an actual job. I don't want to give full details on what I'm planning, cause talking about your goals apparently makes you less likely to do them, but basically I want to spend the next 6-8 months immersing myself in my Jolly Holiday attraction and doing as much work as I can on it. I'm going to develop it for Epcot as it sort of originally developed, but feel free to keep using it in this project as well - I just won't be able to add anything outside of maybe a few occasional art pieces for a while.
