Closest Wawa

There are a hundred different grocery stores that sell the same things and are more convenient on your route. Going out of your way to buy those things specifically at a WaWa seems odd.

WaWa is trash. Their ordering kiosks are neat but their iced coffee is unforgivably bad.
I am also a little confused, unlike you I am a fan of WaWa but I would not go out the way unless I specifically wanted one of their products. Is the OP using WaWa as a catch all for all convenience stores? Surely there are endless 7-11s, Circle K or whatever else there is down there.

@DiSnEyF@n girl, I hope you and your family enjoy going where ever it is you please to shop for your vacation groceries because that's your business and your right as an autonomous adult. You don't have to explain your choices to anyone. Have the best trip!

I know that there are WaWas en route that are not out of the way. I am not trying to drive out my way to get these simple items..... however, I also don't want to go into a large food store to get something I can get easily on my way.

What the heck is wawa?
You beat me to the question! I hope there is some meaning to the name otherwise it would just sound like a 2 year old wanting a drink.

Edit: After looking it up I think Wood's (after founder George Wood) or Chester's (after the place it was founded, Chester Heights) would have been a better name than Wawa.....

What make it so great? It looks like a plain old convenience store.
They are generally big, fairly clean, offer a variety of fresh made sandwiches and other lunch type items(soups, salads, hot sandwiches, baked potatoes). Some have gas stations. In NJ we have Quick Check and WaWa both are similar but only WaWa sells gas.

Sandwiches that put the big sandwich chains (and even some mom and pop delis) to shame. Delicious pickles. They also have great pre-made items (salads, charcuterie packs, etc), and delicious milkshakes. And their coffees are solid (not as good as Sheetz's coffee, but still better than any fast food coffee and far better than twelvebucks/charbucks).

Basically, they are great stops during long road trips, or for picking up picnic lunch items on the way to a beach. For picking up items to bring to a hotel, personally, I'd stop by a Publix instead. But I wouldn't turn my nose up at stocking my hotel fridge with meal items from WaWa.
