Circle of Life... Why is it still there?

This is obviously going to easily be cut off with a "The same reason why imagination is still there" or "money" excuse... but. Seriously. WHY is this still at EPCOT?

I have yet to see anybody who enjoys watching this film more than once and can say it's not boring or outdated! If I hear it on this forum, it will be a very first and I will assume you are just trying to be a rebel.

This is a huge theater, and the only reason I believe people come to this attraction is simply because there are Lion King characters involved with the pre-show and posted on the wall outside. There's also a pretty big stage on there.. I mean come on! This has been there for ever in one form or another!

I think this auditorium would be perfect for a new AA show with the music style of Food Rocks but the AA advancements of Kitchen Kabaret! Am I the only person who's ever thought this? This film is very, very boring. The only reason why I think it's still there is probably because if this area had a decent attraction, the land pavilion would be overly crowded..... Hmm. Actually, now that would probably be a good excuse..

EDIT: Wow! So I'm actually shocked that I'm in the minority here on this movie. The forum-posters sure do have very strange opinions compared to the normal one-time trip park guests.

SOOOO... re-thinking this with NEW possibilities.. What if the film was updated so it didn't look so blurry, with new HD footage, ect.? Still including the lion king characters!

Although, now that I'm thinking from a different angle, what if they created a 15/20 minute 3D WALL-E short? Maybe it doesn't have to be in 3D, but it would be neat. But the movie WALL-E was set after humans were leaving earth because it was un-livable.. What if Wall-E had actually been built when all of the pollution started happening? I'm not sure how they'd make this, but a prequel-style to the movie would be pretty cool.

It may be outdated, but I agree with @Matt_Black, the message still needs to be heard. Believe it or not, it makes me a little teary.

Indeed. If we don't shape up, do you know what's going to happen? People are going to call for a live-action Captain Planet film, and Michael Bay will get tapped to direct it, because OF COURSE HE WILL, and it will be terrible, and then we'll destroy our own planet out of spite.

Don't even get me started with Kitchen Kabaret! I grew up seeing that show every single time that I went to Epcot. I even had the entire magnet set of characters hanging on our family fridge at home. I still think that show would be a huge hit still.

Veggie, Fruit, Fruit, Veggie, Veggie, Fruit, Fruit!!!

That song is burned in my brain forever!

Haha nice! I never got to experience it in person... But I basically grew up with Food Rocks and my dad loved it (it was his age of music) so we never missed a trip to Food Rocks. (: I was actually underwhelmed when I rode Soarin' for the first time. I preferred the AA shows !

But, needless to say, the CoL theater looks perfect for a AA theater though.

But this is something that seems like it would be found on a bonus section of the Lion King movie. I'm just saying, message heard or not, it's just a movie.

They could easily hear this message by slipping in WALL-E into their DVD players.

Are you saying Soarin' Isn't good? It's one of the only 60 minute+ wait time rides I would wait for!

The message that it's bad for the environment to tear up a remote, semi-tropical wilderness and reconfigure existing waterways in order to build a sprawling vacation destination that will attract visitors from the farthest reaches of the globe travelling in polluting vehicles?

Gosh, I'm glad nothing like that has ever happened in Central Florida...
