While the idea has been brought up before....What about the one movie that would have made more sense....

Yep. I would prefer this idea. Perhaps as a mini-sequel but with the same story! Everyone's back on earth and the captain is wondering what happened to it over time, like, what caused it to start all of this. And a wiki-robot or whatever could explain it somehow the same way simba does. Wall-E could be in the pre-show area and be alongside the captain during the show.

Honestly, yea. Yea. I like my idea here. I'm happy with it! ^_^

I would go with a BnL preshow area hyping it all up saying what they are going to do for the Earth before getting into the show.
Make it 3D just for the heck of it...
And Sigorney Weaver's voice for the Ship Computer to narrate..

The obvious answer is the standard "TDO doesn't want to spend money on anything it doesn't have to", but it seems like such a missed opportunity. A DisneyNature type film or WALL-E would be perfect and would drive even more interest in the Land pavilion, and also give the masses of people that pour through the building an extra thing they would want to see.

I didn't realize how many of those surround screen shows Epcot Center had. I thought they only had Oh Canada
70mm doesn't surround the audience, it's the standard IMAX format (though I don't remember the COL screen being particularly large)

For true CircleVision, there are the 360 films in Canada and China and Impressions de France is scaled-back 5-screen composite that covers about 180 degrees. There are also the ultra-widescreen at the beginning of Universe of Energy and the 180 wrap-around after the diorama, the planetarium at the top of Spaceship Earth, the world's largest rear-projection screen in the American Adventure, and the former Omnimax domes in Horizons. Epcot has never had a shortage of unique (and big!) ways to display a film!

From what I'm remembering, it's actually a very large screen. But it's also accompanied by a large stage (for whatever reason.. I mean, it's a movie..) It's just so far away it appear smaller.

But I could be wrong... I'll be checking it out on Thursday. Simply because I have a friend who's never been to EPCOT so I'm gonna get him on almost everything xP

As much as I would like something new it shouldn't go here because their is already to much mayham in The Land pavilion. Until they fix it they should not put anything new in there.

I too have always thought two things to replace this: Wall-E or a Food Rocks type show. I think it would be the ideal place for Wall-E to have a place in the parks.

In any case, I think Circle of Life needs to be replaced. It is a very tired old film. The message is good, but dated. I know I will also get people angry at me for saying this, especially because it is the last bit of wall to wall carpet murals in Epcot, but I hate those carpet murals and I think they need to go.
