maybe they are replacing it with a lion guard version. That would make sense.
Never saw the Circle of Life. From what I've heard, I didn't miss much.
Well, it's worth it if you like The Lion King. My only gripe is that Simba's voice is NOT done by Matthew Broderick.Never saw the Circle of Life. From what I've heard, I didn't miss much.
At this rate they should just close the entire pavilion while soarin' is under referb and save the labor cost while also giving them the opportunity to fix everything that's broken or worn out. Installing a few extra escalators wouldn't hurt either.

And on another note, I can't see this being replaced anytime soon because:
- The Lion King is still immensely popular even after 21 years
- The film's message is more relevant than ever
I love it too, but it definitely DOES need a month or so for refurbishment at the moment (I could see a month or less being plenty of time if they didn't drag their feet). The greenhouse at least is in seemingly good shape, the cast always seems to take pretty good care of it (and they occasionally swap out different exhibits). But the interior scenes are a mess at the moment. The spotlights shining on wires in the first scene responsible for the rain effect are in need of adjusting, and a lot of the animatronics are either broken or barely moving. Things overall could do also with a good cleaning and repainting as well. And the opening/closing door to the greenhouse has been stuck open for a long time now. It's not too complex of an attraction and these issues could probably even be dealt with overnight over the course of a few weeks with better management in charge, but the problems are really starting to pile up and Disney tends to procrastinate in regards to nightly maintenance. The longer they let these issues become worse, the longer a refurbishment will be required...IF I CAN'T RIDE LIVING WITH THE LAND I WANT A REFUND ON MY AP!!!!!!!! It's my favorite in all of Epcot.
I'd say it was worth seeing at least once. Not a must do for every trip though.Never saw the Circle of Life. From what I've heard, I didn't miss much.
Interesting, I never noticed that.Well, it's worth it if you like The Lion King. My only gripe is that Simba's voice is NOT done by Matthew Broderick.
Having never seen Symbiosis until after I saw the Circle of Life, I was amazed how much of the film was reused and how well integrated it was.Snuck this one in quietly didn't they? I've got to say if and when it's finally replaced I'll miss all the original Symbiosis parts.
I'm all for changing the film. It's very dated and rather preachy (without any hint of irony that the storyline is eerily similar to WDW's roots), and a lot of the footage is clearly from ~35 years ago. The characters aren't as popular as they once were, and the audience is much more informed about the issues presented than when the film began its run. There are tons of possibilities to turn this into something worthwhile again
That said, I really hope they don't mess with the wall carpet in the lobby. It screams vintage EPCOT Center, and is still miraculously plush and soft after all these years. That room does a better job transporting me to another era than some of Disney's finest theming. It's just so kitschy that it works
My first concern, too, was carpet mural preservation!
Haha. Y'all really like that stuff?!
Watch your language!Dam.
I'll take it that someone read this thread and edited Wikipedia.Wikipedia is saying new film.Take that as you will.
"After 21 years, Circle of Life: An Environmental Fable closed permanently at Epcot on February 7, 2016 to make way for a new film."
If you needed a nap it was great!Never saw the Circle of Life. From what I've heard, I didn't miss much.
