MK Cinderella Castle Set to Return to Classic Color Scheme

I was there in August 2020 when this recolor opened basically. No joke, it always looked like a 3D puzzle so I never really liked it.

In particular like this, the blues just looked like a huge sore thumb to me. Maybe the weather has degraded it a bit but I always preferred the original color scheme.

This is what i thought too… The 50th color scheme looked too oversaturated especially the blue. It looks more fake and toylike.

The old color scheme was more simple and easy on the eyes. It’s supposed to evoke French and German castles while also having that fantasy fairytale look. I’m happy they’re changing it back.

Trust me if Disneyland had tried this, Their diehard fans would not be anywhere near as forgiving as the WDW fans are. Even slightly altering the river to accommodate Galaxy's Edge was considered controversial.

It was controversial but accepted because it was an overall plus to the park and you didn't lose the River or the Island (Pirates Lair).

If DL considered removing the entire thing we'd have a serious revolt.

“Maintenance is telling us we need to paint the castle again even though we just did. Something about warm colors fading faster and some damage from the first rush job.”

“I got it. Let’s go back to OG colors and tell people we care and given them something for D23 since they are getting shafted on everything else.”
