Trip Report Christmas theme in DLP November '13

Hi All,

as told in a short pre-trip report we were in DLP last weekend (November 22nd - November 24th). I hope you all enjoy this trip report with a lot of pictures of our trip.

This time we were with the three of us. Me (Michel, 42), my wife (Ria, 43) and our daugther (Sacha, 16).

We departed (4 in the morning) from Rotterdam, the Netherlands, on the 22nd to be in DLP around 9 in the morning. First thing to do was the Mickey Salon. Here you can come in if you are a member of the shareholders club of DLP. Once a day you may come in to enjoy a cup of coffee or tea and 2 snacks. It's open from 9 until 12 every day.

First some pictures from the inside of Salon Mickey! On the inside it looks like one of that old rooms were men smokes cigares like in the 20's of the last century!

Thanks for the reply and the compliment. Consider us as not the usual everybody :) LOL! But we take pictures just as we like, for the ppl with TR's about American parks there are a lot of food pictures, which is very nice btw, but in DLP we mostly don't go to the bigger restaurants, so the food pics we could take are very common. Next time we will try to take more food pictures. Wow 22 days and counting...... great! We will be in DLP later this year, but no date yet. First planning our WDW trip for October. Don't have the exact date yet, so for us it is at least 273 and at the most 281 days and couting down :)

And yeah, absolutely make a TR, I know a lot of ppl here love to see more from DLP. And I am curious about how you do your trip and off course the pictures :)

Haha oh now it looks like I think you guys are not the usual family *facepalm* Sorry for that !! Yeah I think my father will make reservations at the California Grill.. He is a real "Gourmand" ( okay I am too ) and likes good food :) But probably no pictures from the Park food.. I already know I will take some fries and some chicken nuggets or a burger :D

No offense :) I just laughed about it :) We also like good food, but in our opinion the price quality difference is there... and we are in DLP a couple of times a year and well better to pay for merchandise than for food :)

On our way to Star Tours (Still the old fashioned one, so no 3D version yet) we found Wall-E :)

To be honest, the next picture is not us, but probably one of the best pictures I saw to capture the beauty of the castle and the fully lighted christmas tree. Don't know who took the picture, but I wanted to share it with you!

One of the highlights of the November trip was the Christmas Dreams show. There is a lot of discussion on several websites about the closing show. Not many people seems to like the Christmas version of Disney Dreams (What is absolutely the best closing the day show for all Disney Parks in the world, in my opinion :)) I have to say I like Christmas Dreams, but also prefer the 'normal' Disney Dreams. I guess it's mostly because the Frozen charactar is the leading character in the show and by the time we watched the show, Frozen was not in cinemas in Europe yet. So it felt a little bit unknown.

The official picture from a Disney email:

I let you decide for yourself. First the 'normal' Disney Dreams and second the Christmas version. Enjoy!

Just had a chance to read through your report. First one I had read from DLP. Loved it. The DLP castle is beautiful, I love the hillside they landscaped into it. And the photos from the inside were amazing. One day I'd love to get over there to experience it.

It was odd, at first, seeing everyone walking around a Disney Park in winter coats, but I guess DLP does get colder than the two U.S. Parks.

I hope October comes quickly for you.
