Trip Report Christmas theme in DLP November '13

Hi All,

as told in a short pre-trip report we were in DLP last weekend (November 22nd - November 24th). I hope you all enjoy this trip report with a lot of pictures of our trip.

This time we were with the three of us. Me (Michel, 42), my wife (Ria, 43) and our daugther (Sacha, 16).

We departed (4 in the morning) from Rotterdam, the Netherlands, on the 22nd to be in DLP around 9 in the morning. First thing to do was the Mickey Salon. Here you can come in if you are a member of the shareholders club of DLP. Once a day you may come in to enjoy a cup of coffee or tea and 2 snacks. It's open from 9 until 12 every day.

First some pictures from the inside of Salon Mickey! On the inside it looks like one of that old rooms were men smokes cigares like in the 20's of the last century!

Loving all the photos. I have been to DLP twice but find the cost expensive so I save for Florida instead. Parade looked great and not too busy.

Hej thanks for the reply! DLP is great and we are there a couple of times a year! I understand what you mean by expensice costs.... that's why we are in DLP a lot and in WDW just once (24 yrs ago). But hey we are planning WDW in October '14, finally!!!

Parade was great and it was not that busy, because it was a Friday, the weekend was really crowded!

Loving the report! DLP looks amazing for Christmas.

I love getting a shave, wish the Barber Shop at MK still did that. Very nice job with the photos!

Thanks for the reply! In my opinion ppl can get a shave in every park in the world, but you mean it is not possible in WDW anymore?

Love the Cavalcade! How beautiful! I really like Mickey & Minnie's Paris Christmas fashions, too.

Thanks again! The Christmas Cavalcade is/was marvelous this year! But I saw a lot of pictures from other parks in the world, and well DLP has a short Cavalcade.... The fashion was very great!

DLP also has a Planet Hollywood in Disney Village, in WDW known as Downtown Disney.

And off course we had to take a picture of the favorite and most cute actor in Sacha's opinion.

I love that parade. The buildings in the background look amazing. Its so odd seeing the people in warm cloths and hats. How cold was it while you were there? So different from WDW. Even so, I would love to see DL at Christmas time. The pictures are great. Can't wait for more tomorrow!

Thanks for the reply! Yeah it was quite cold, but on the other hand, not as cold as it can be in November in Europe, at least it was above 0 °C..... DLP is very nice at Christmas time, I prefer it more than Haloween, although that's nice also! Can't wait be in WDW in October '14! Especially the Haloween theme
