Hey guys, I guess I was nominated team leader, so I'll get it started.

Our job is to make a new Imagination ride, minus Dreamfinder and Imagination Institute.

Maybe we can create a new ride with an actual storyline. Some new villain has captured Figment and the Imagination and color in the world are being depleted.

There could even be a "dark Figment" storyline.

Minus Dreamfinder, plus Institute. Sorry, our mistake. It has to be included in some form.

OK, so here's what I'm thinking right now.

Dr. Nigel Channing, head of the Imagination Institute, left the company after a mishap in the smell lab. So, his brother-in-law, Micheal Baxter(played by Steve Carell) took over the Institute. Micheal was a great Chairman, with Figment being his right-hand man. But a new invention that was made in an attempt to clone Figment to spread Imagination to the world, but it made one, completely evil Dark Figment. Dark Figment destroyed the Institute. In an attempt to take the Institute back, Micheal Baxter and Figment started bringing in tourists to help them capture Dark Figment. The ride will basically be a ride through the Institute, with the queue being Micheal and Figment's secret hideout. Then, the riders will go through the Institute trying to catch Dark Figment, with all new special effects representing Dark Figment's michevious attempts to stop the group. The ride will then travel upstairs to a final confrontation with DArk Figment.

New:
-Characters: Micheal Baxter and Dark Figment
-Story: Dark Figment takes over the Imagination Institute
-Track Layout: The ride will Travel upstairs
-3D: This ride will be in 3D
-Vehicles: Ditching the Omnimovers, for a more Spiderman-type vehicle

Wow. I really like that.

I love the idea Figmental, I think using Steve Carell is a stroke of genius. I'd quite like to use lots of modern advanced technology, especally no-glasses-needed 3D. I think if we make it a real multi-sense experience, plenty of things to look at, loads of sounds and smells, make each ride different to enhance re-rideability and longevity of the ride.

But the overall storyline is fantastic, no I think it's onlto the nitty gritty. I'm happy to work on the tech side of things with everyone, or if you don't want much technology I'll help with story/layout :D

Oiye. I'm not really familiar at all with JII or its backstory. I mean, I know the basic gist of it, but I don't really know what the rides are like. Sorry in advanced. I do like the idea of Dark Figment, though. Also, we should use the Institute itself more in depth. Really explore it this time. I can see some fun opportunities in chasing Dark Figment through various rooms/experiments.

Also...Last time, nominating me in Bottom 2 was understandable...but SERIOUSLY, what did I do this time? I don't want to be all egotistical and say I'm some AMAZING asset to this team or anything, but the fact of the matter is, if it wasn't for me, we'd STILL be arguing about the the railroad. And I get thanked by being placed in the bottom 2. Okay then. Do you guys even WANT my help??

Mathew made the decision without any consultation of his team members. Nobody else here is at fault for your nomination.

I'm calm. I just fail to see the point of even devoting my time to this if I'm just going to get continually targeted. Well, whatever, I'll drop it. Let's just focus on the project.

I can already tell you guys that this week will be pretty busy for me, so I probably won't be able to check in as much as I'd like. That being said, if there's a particular part of the project you'd like me working, let me know and I'll get started today and work on it when I have time during the week.

I was kind of hoping that we could make this version a back-to-basics kind of version of imagination. Not bog it down with too much backstory. I think we all have to take a good long look at what the Imagination Pavillion is all about and basically take the basic ideas and run with it. I always thought. Figment works best as the side character rather than the main character.

Considering this is the "Imagination" pavillion, I was thinking maybe we could have a whole system using the RFID technology where each ride will be custom designed for each guest. A ride where we can let the guest pretty much use their own imagination and make their own ride using state of the art immersion technology.

Now that's an idea I do like! How far along is the RFID tech? Because if we can really tap into that, then we could have a killer ride that would draw people back again and again. There's so much potentail to create a really immersive experience here.

I do like the story set out by Figmental, I feel it's really strong, and if we add stitchcastle's ideas to that, allong with the tech I've been digging up, you have a wonderful ride that bring's a smile to people's faces, and all in all that's got to be the main goal.

Outside of what's on this site in the big RFID thread, do you guys have any other links you'd recommend. Google's giving me a lot of results, but I didn't know if you have anything related to how Disney plans on using it.

Yes! Combining them would be gold!

So basically, what we have so far is the plot will involve Dark Figment running loose in the Institute. The technology being of a kind of "chose your own adventure" variety (sorry, like I said I'm pretty much blind when it comes to anything regarding this particular franchise.) So will this technology consist of various ride paths, or the same ride path but various changed effects?

I think it would be immensely awesome to do the former, but I'm not sure how plausible that is. But the latter is the easier.

So far as I know it, it consists of the same path, but altered based on those riding at the time. I may have that one wrong, but that's how I see it. Data is collected when tickets are chosen, very basic data such as favourite colour, dogs or cats etc. Then when the guest gets to the ride they swipe their pass and the computer logs the data, then later on in the ride the rider could see a blur dog, or a yellow cat, depending on the answers given.

If we break the imagination down into secions and have different areas based on different sections, with one or two choices per section, and then we can come up with ways of getting those choices visualised?
