Hi everyone - Happy Mother's Day to all the Moms!

I am staying at the WL this Sept. and was thinking of checking out Chip and Dales Campfire Sing Along; can anyone tell me if they have been to this and how it was?

Also has anyone used the Cub's Den for their children at the WL?

(Didn't know if I was suppose to put this in the children's section because it wasn't all child related. sorry)

We did the campfire a few years ago. It was a lot of fun and not very crowded so the kids get a lot of interaction with Chip and Dale. (Good chance for some photos and autographs without having to wait 20 minutes in line at one of the parks.)

There is a fun sing-a-long with a cowboy(can't remember his name) and you can roast marshmellows over a fire pit. (If you can, bring your own marshmellow, the do sell them there but they are a little pricey).

And then they show a kid's movie on a big screen. There is seating but it's metals benches so it gets a little uncomfortable after a while so you may want to bring a blanket and just lay on the ground. It's a nice change of pace.

Thank you for leaving me some info- I think we will give it a try. I guess not that many people have gone to the sing-a-long.

We've been several times and we LOVE it! One of the best kept "secrets" at Disney IMO.

If you can't bring your own smores supplies, the kit costs $10 and the roasting sticks are $.75 each. Here's an idea of what a kit looks like:

Obviously we'd already dug into this one  but you get the idea! More than enough for our family of 4.

One tip is that Chip & Dale work different "sections" and they don't both come around to each section, so if you want to meet them both and get pictures, etc. You'll have to do some creative seating. On slower nights Chip works one side of the wooden benches and Dale works the other. On busier nights Chip and/or Dale visits the metal bleachers and the other one visits the wooden benches. You have to be seated for them to visit you and take photos. Usually my DH sits on one side and I sit on the other and after the kids have met one chipmunk they go sit with the other parent to see the other chipmunk (they're big Chip & Dale fans.) Hope you have a great time!

Whew! I really had to search for this thread. I thought it had gone missing in just one day! :)

I do wish both chipmunks could visit both areas, but I think it is a timing thing. I think the chipmunks have only 30 minutes to be "out" before they have the Sing a Long (which HAS to start on time) and then show the movie (which HAS to start at the correct posted time.) ;) It is also a free event, so I guess I can't complain too much!

It seems to go in waves, I found out about the Sing A Long on these boards, but I guess those who are long time attenders aren't on the boards right now or just aren't posting. But I know you all will have a great time!

This sounds great.

Just one question - what exactly is a smore (we don't have them over here!)?

Roasted and toasted marshmallows and chocolate on top of a graham cracker. It's a pretty tasty combination., and perfect for campfires.

Although I would say if possible bring your own ingredients.....

We noticed that Chip and Dale were both going to exit the campfire by going out between the two sets of bleachers. We sat on the edge of one set and my little girl was able to get to both Chip and Dale. I do admit, she was slightly agressive and basically grabbed Dale as he started to walk by!

We had a great time at the campfire. And I believe we met both Chip and Dale, but it was a slow night.

I hate smores! But the joke in our family is my wife and kids love them and I have to help the 2 little ones make theirs! So I have the "joy" of making them, but not eating them!
