All this guy needs to do is convince the CCP that Shanghai Shendi is involved in 'crimes against public order' and Wanda will be able to scoop up Shendi's assets at bargain prices, It's the way business is done in China which is very much a government of 'men' rather than of laws.

The title of the article as I saw it was "China's richest man has a $9 billion plan to crush Disney".

For crying out loud. If I goofed and offended here by simply saying "China Man" in the title then I think I need to just give up on trying.

In another thread I asked who notices or would possibly be offended by Steven Tyler's "hand gesture" at RnR. Welp, I can at least thank you for showing me who would be offended.

I didn't read the article. I thought he actually lived in Australia. Didn't just buy the studio that owns the Jurassic World rights and already said he is going to build a Jurassic World park in Austrailia. He had to close an indoor park because it was failing and will have to do an overhaul. Man is building parks left and to right though.

Send the link on this alleged Jurassic World theme park please, I doubt Universal would let someone else build a park dedicated to one IP unless its referring to that traveling exhibit that Australia had late last year.

Also the article says that he bought Legendary Entertainment, they don't really own IPs as they mainly help produce/finance movies.

You dont need to buy Disney, just own enough of it to get a few board seats and get your own guy in as CEO and you have effective control.

Have you seen/met Iger? If he has Disney beat for this title then it is by a fraction of a percent.

We all know what little personality (if any) Mr. Iger has. However, it's really hard to read this little Asian guy. His dead expression reminds me of this one German dude who wanted to take over the world long ago. At least with Iger we can all see "$" lingering in his eyes.

Wanda parks are generally several notches below six flags, they have mostly copied themes from others (actually stolen IP would be a better term) and are built on the cheap. He is very upset that the tourism bureaus of the various 'cultural centers' are teaming up with US companies (Shanghai went with Disney and Beijing went with Universal) when building their mega-entertainment complexes. Since Universal already owns the IP to Jurassic World and they are building a park in Beijing it seems unlikely they would license the IP to a competitor, but who knows.

Cannot wait for the corporate inversion to China, Where the CCP will finally own one of the US broadcast networks. Do NOT underestimate this guy many have and are now deceased or rotting in a Chinese prison.

I believe on Seeking Alpha recently there was an article about him wanting to buy one of the 'Big 6' media companies that operate in the U.S. - one of which is $DIS.

If he want's to buy $DIS, he'd prefer it to be on sale...

He'll find a way (with his buddies in the CCP) to guarantee that $DIS GOES on sale...
