No - it's just located in Amish country, and a number of waitresses are actually Mennonite. Basically it's comfort food...fried chicken, meatloaf, roast beef, that kind of thing. And absolutely yummy pies for dessert. :slurp: We just call in our order, then Mike goes to pick up. We live right on the edge of the largest Amish community in Ohio, so lots of yummy restaurants and tourist attractions. The Amish live a simple life, but they are also capitalists. And people come from everywhere.
We went to the Amish country on our DC trip.
They have the best food! :slurp:

They serve a lot of what's pictured here:
kofte1b.jpg

The kofte is the meat thing, but the place we go to they don't have the grill marks. And the rice looks kinda like that. And that's a falafel above the rice. It's something different, and in our town, it's hard to find a place that isn't your regular "meat-and-three"

They serve gyros there. But I usually get this meatball like thing, that's not in a ball but on a stick. I think it's called Kofte...?? They have the BEST hummus I've had in a while and those yummy grape leave rolls.

Yeah...I wouldn't like any of that...

and yet...so funny! :D

DH is home, gotta go...have a great evening everyone!

Bye sweetie! Have a great night!

OMG!! My neighbor came over to visit with the kids. I mentioned I was feeling a bit blah, and she said, oh, go rest for a while, I'll play with them! So I did.... and I fell asleep! For like, 45 minutes!! :snore:
I was horrified! :o

I thought of y'all today.
For service day, my group went to a rescue mission center to clean up.
I was handed the Windex and was in charge of it.
I started laughing...which got some weird stares from the others.

Oh, and my friends and I learned something today.
It's not a good idea to be inside a room spraying Windex everywhere for 2 hours.
