Really short days in the winter though, right? I would seriously be locked up somewhere!

Today's sunrise was at 8:15 am, sunset 5:05 pm. The days are starting to get longer now. Back in December, it was more like 8:45 and 4:30. And when the sun comes through the windows, we can actually start to feel heat again! lol.

We get through it. It's a cold snap right now. Beginning of January we were at and above freezing. Thursday, it is supposed to go back up to about -6 (without windchill).

We've been in a cold snap here too, but today it actually got above freezing for a while. Do you have to plug your cars in to keep the battery from freezing? I remember one of my college roomates worked in Nain, Labrador, for a couple of years =- I don't know how she did it!!!!

Oh, and I'm Betty, BTW, or occasionally Fishy or FishyAnn

Nice to meet you too, Betty!

Labrador is quite aways from where I am, but it's actually quite balmy because of its proximity to the coast. I am a two hour drive dead north of Grand Forks, ND.

Yes, I plug in my car daily and also have a block heater.

Nain is up near the Arctic Circle. There were no roads going into there even. The supply plane brought fresh fruit twice a year! Definitely not for me!

Anyway, at least you have a trip coming up soon!

Well, nice to meet you all again, but it's time to snuggle (translates to: get DS in his jammies and read him his bedtime story).

Hope to chat with you all again soon!

(And no one is inferior!)
