Good and not good.

On one hand it was a routine surgery and he's currently in recovery. On the other, he had a lot more scar tissue than they expected, and so they had to cut deeper as such. Unfortunately he may have permanent paralysis of his right ankle. Darned if I know why or how the docs can predict that, but that's the worst-case scenario.

Thanks for asking, though. :)
What kind of surgery was it, if you don't mind my asking?

Dannnnnny!!!!
If you're here...
How's your dad?

I also thank you...

But STOP responding when I least expect it! It's a bit creepy. Like a one-woman Spanish Inquisition. :lookaroun

^Back surgery. One of the lower (L-5? L-6?) vertebrae primarily. They had to put a couple of cages in to attempt to stop another scar overgrowth. (The excess tissue had been pinching on his spinal cord from either side. I don't know how he keeps an upbeat attitude about it all. :()

Oh wow.
Maybe the worst-case won't play out.
There's always hope...

What?
You're hollering at me and I don't even know what you're talking about.

Well, maybe not in this case, but it's a little odd when you basically say, "Danny, I know you're there..." because you see me lurking at the bottom of the screen.

...Though I suppose I'm the offending party in the first place, so never mind. Carry on as you were. :lookaroun

Wow, the Family of the Day experience is really something!

Which thread is that?

Joanna...
I just wanted to say that the most amazing things happen when you least expect them. You've already been brave enough to take chances most people just dream about. Enjoy your life and live it just for you right now. The rest will happen...

Thanks Dot.

Ditto what Dot said, Jo....

You are a very special person (despite being a Giants fan :lookaroun) and as long as you continue to do what makes you happy, the rest will come.
