Well, you could probably get away with a few loads then...
I'd still do towels by themselves in warm...
Kakhis and whites...maybe
darks
and then reds...for the love of everything...whatever you do, do the reds seperate. Even if you want to just chuck everything in the washer...leave the reds out. (I'd leave the whites out too...but that's just me.)
And get a mouse trap to kill the "giant rat" in the basement.
