Glad you had fun at the dance Freddy
Today was probably the worst day I've ever had in my professional life. It was one of those days where reality just slaps you in the face. There were massive layoffs at work today. With the economic crisis the way it is and no banks lending money, they were forced to cut down. I survived, but so many of my co-workers are gone. My team is decimated. There's only like half of us left. I dunno how to feel right now. I'm worried that this may not be the end of it. I wonder what's going to happen to my life at Disney if this job falls apart. This whole thing is just so messed up.
Morning.
Vince, sorry to hear about what's going on at work...hope everything turns out ok for you.
Need prayers this morning - my brother is in some kind of trouble. He and GF apparently got in a huge fight - they've beeen havin gproblems - he called my mom to say he was coming over - then called back to say he got in an accident. Now she can't get a hold of him - scariest part is she thinks he migh thave been drinking (at 10 AM??????). I'm nervous and worried and usually I'm the "don't panic until we know what's going on" person.
Morning. {{hugs}} and prayers to those who need them.
((Hugs)) for everyone.
Dan, I like number 3.
 Hola! So today in Spanish I wrote a story about Bunny and Nibbs on a trip to WDW! haha!
I'm ok. Yah, it was fun. It was kind of emotional too cause a couple of the cast members at the Adv Club were performing their last show. They actually broke character several times to acknowledge each other and say good-bye. The maid actress who made me dance before actually baked cookies for the guests. Me and Nibbs were right next to her at the last show, she was visibly and unsuccessfully trying to hold back tears.
Emotional evening. :dazzle:
I just this minute came home from my neighbor Betty's. Things fell into place quickly in the last few days. A nephew was located. At first, we were worried about just what his interest was in his aunt's situation, since he had little contact with her over the years. For a while, we were sure he was going to have her placed in an institution. But it was decided that she's going home with him to Albany. I met him tonight and he seems like a decent guy.
I knelt down in front of Betty to say good-bye and she said "I'll be good. I promise I won't throw anything away anymore." She thanked me for taking care of her and I asked her not to forget me.
Her little suitcase has one skirt, her bathing suit a handbag and a pink straw hat. That's all that's left.
Her house is scheduled to go to sheriff's sale on Nov. 4. Because of our intervention, a realtor is going to try to sell it for back taxes before that date. And, no matter what happens, Betty will be in a safe place.
To the neighbors here who just don't get what we did, I know I'll never make them understand. I don't care. I have no regrets for doing what was right.
We had a good day yesterday with Nibbs and WHF..
This is a really bad picture of everyone but Nibbs.. she looks great. Dinner was yummy! I got my fill of fried chicken! I loved the Trail's End buffet :slurp:
Glad you guys liked the food!
What is WHF doing...?:lookaroun
I'm having trouble deciding which picture to enter in the MK photo contest...
...I have the strangest feeling I should go with #3. :lookaroun
