Really, I hope everyone understands that I told this story so everyone can know they can make a difference...no matter how small.
If I had done nothing and Betty's house was sold out from under her and she wound up on the street or in a state institution...I wouldn't have been able to live with myself for not at least trying.

I still think you went way above and beyond, and you should be proud. Glad it all worked out so well.

I'm glad too.
Last week it was looking really bleak.
The nephew wasn't coming, the investigation was stalled and we knew that of Nov. 4th, she'd be homeless.
I have to add that not one city agency came to our aid, after countless calls for help. Not one.
Our mailman is the real hero. He's stayed on top of this and deserves to be commended. We've written letters to his superiors.

She wasn't bad last night, but I think the dress helped - it moved elegantly, but she really didn't.
