One fell right in front of me as I was walking to work yesterday. I stomped on it. :lookaroun Hey, it hit me at a bad time, I'd just packed up my open-toed shoes for the season the night before and was still bitter. :king:

:ROFLOL::ROFLOL:I need some new fall shoes actually - if I ever get to shop for myself one of these days.

Hi Kat! When does the house officially go on the market?

Has anyone heard from Dana lately?
She's had some stuff to deal with...
I miss her. :o

Well, I just got him dressed a little bit ago and he wanted some water - still doesn't want to eat - I'm letting him call the shots about that. He's watching Sesame Street at the moment - staying home has the perk of watching PBS.

Oh, I'm looking outside and seeing leaves beginning to drift down :(...only think I like about our tree removal this year is there will be less leaves to rake. Next spring after the two huge trees in the backyard come down will substantially improve that as well.
Oy! RAKING! I hadn't thought of that with our new house!:dazzle:
Yikes... I wouldn't say I'm having buyers remorse exactly... but I'm starting to worry about some things... but then again, me worrying isn't that big of a surprise!

:ROFLOL: I love it! I have to unpack my fall/ winter *shudders at the word* clothes. I have to really buy some new clothes...which should make me happy...but I am just dreading it.

I keep telling my friends to nominate me for What Not To Wear with the hopes that Stacey and Clinton will just tell me what to buy.

Well, we made a deadline for ourselves for October 1. I REALLY hope it sells. I think we'll make that date... though we're waiting on this guy to fix somethings before we put it on the market, and he hasn't started yet! It's only painting a ceiling (long story) and a wall in our bedroom and replacing some of the baseboards and boards around some doors (Bella liked to chew on them as a puppy ); but he said it wuld take him three days! :dazzle:

We've stained our deck this past weekend! It looks like new! :goodnevil We're also taking out a lot of furniture and storing it at my parents. We're told less is more when trying to sell a house.

Add me as a member of the Worrying Club. It hasn't been too bad recently, but that's because I have been to distracted with work and vacation coming up.

How do we retire from that club...? :veryconfu

Seriously, I'm worried that the house is too big and what others will think. I'm worried it'll look silly b/c we don't have formal dinining room or living room furniture (but we are NOt going into debt again! ...well, aside from the mortage...). I'm worried that we won't sell our house in time. uuuggghhh...

Looked like the trees were far enough away from the house though, from what I could tell of the picture. Have you made all your color/kitchen counter choices? I think that would be so fun to do.

Our last house had buyers within a couple of weeks of going on the market, and we put a good number of items out in garage already packed for moving, so the less is more is excellent advice. I've also heard taking down personal items, like photos or special collections, is a good idea. Allows the buyer to picture their own things in the house better.

Yes... I've heard that too. Good idea!

I've also heard that the color yellow makes people want to buy... We have a mum sale on Friday and I'm getting two yellow ones!

Yep! We picked out the stuff. We went with black shutters, white front proch spindles (they were thinking brick red?!), a black-ish with "blonde highlights" marble for the kitchen counters, and the front door to be stained the color of the hardwood floor. I hope that it ends up looking good. I wasn't sure about a black door or a wood stained one... :veryconfu

I just thought of something... Do new houses come with mailboxes?! I don't even know!:dazzle:

Our alarm didn't go off this morning, and I didn't want to rush to get to my 8:00 class, so I opted to go back to sleep.
And I have to miss my last class today for polo.
I'm so tired this morning...

One of my favorite shows is Designed to Sell on HGTV I watch it on Saturdays I think. They always have great tips that I would never think of.

Edit- One of my dreams is to have marble counter-tops in my kitchen (when I own a house.)

Depends on the development, I would think - are you in one or is it a rural property? If it's rural you'll probably have to buy one from Lowe's or Home Depot. No biggie.
I love your color choices - I think a stained front door will be beautiful. Can't wait to see pics! :sohappy:

That is a great show - I haven't watched HGTV for a while....
