Well, all good things must come to an end and I'm back from Walt Disney World with my first report on the park from my vacation experience this year that ran from July 5th to the 11th.
The first day went well at the Magic Kingdom, no Monorails were running due to the tragic accident that struck earlier that morning. The Magic Kingdom had actually small crowds and it was rather easy getting on a ride with really the longest wait being for BTMR at a blistering 15 minute wait. Plus, John Travolta was within the Magic Kingdom, that was neat. It rained just a little but not bad. Tony's Town Square was really disappointing though, made reservations and got in an hour and a half after the reserved time, then had to actually take my empty cup of Diet Coke to a waiter because the waiter I had would not refill it even after several times of walking by. I know they are busy but that was kind of ridiculous. Overall though, had a great time.
The second day at the Animal Kingdom. It was hot during the first part of the day but cooled down. A ton of animals were visible on the Kilimanjaro's Safari Ride, EE had a long wait time but single riders wasn't too bad. It rained in the afternoon for a good hour I'd say. The park was crowded. Rainforest Cafe was great, friendly waitress and great service.
The third day at Epcot. It rained throughout the entire day. Monorails back up running I believe. Tried to get on Test Track four times. The skies would clear, we'd get near the front of the line, and it would pour the rain again. The fourth time it broke. UoE also broke down on us. Epcot only had one cola machine that had the drinks from around the world all available. Chefs de France was great, the waiter was talkative and really was friendly. The restaurant wasn't at all full. Great food, even greater dessert.
The fourth day was Hollywood Studios. This was infact I believe the best day we had. One of the elevators on ToT went down while we were in line but the wait time was still reasonable. Indiana Jones was cut short as rain started to open up. The Rockin' Roller Coaster was terrible. Everybody who had a fastpass was let in first, we waited two hours in line before we actually started moving, the fastpass line was finally empty. I don't know what the deal was with that. Even single riders line didn't move until the fastpass line was fully empty. Mama Melrose's, well, didn't really have a wide selection as I thought it would have. It was mostly just pizza. I guess you have to get the menus right though. Mulch, Sweat, and Shears was a great show, very interactive should I say.
The fifth day, Epcot. It rained the whole day again, finally got on Test Track after two attempts and UoE. Le Cellier was great. Didn't see the waitress that much though but seemed like she only came by when thought we were finished eating. After we finished we headed to Downtown Disney. DisneyQuest was crowded, the Create-A-CD was all out of wack. Outside, Princess Diana really fit the theme of everything. :dazzle:
The sixth day saw us go back to the Magic Kingdom. It was really hot, the hotest day, up until the around 3. The skies opened and it poured the rain again. Crystal Palace was good, a lot of little ones where in there and since the rain, a lot of grown one's where out on the porch. It was almost impossible to get outside of that place. Surprisingly POTC had only a five minute wait in the intense rain.
The seventh and final day saw us going to Chefs Mickey and then leaving. No rain in site, but please if it did rain that day I'd like to know.
And this is my report of my vacation to the parks. Enjoy, as I did.
