OMG I'm so excited. My boyfriend (Adam) and I just got back from a 10 day trip to WDW. Well he and I have to go back to Orlando at the end of March beginning of Feb for a wrestling event. I asked Adam even though we are not going to WDW can I still try to get a character meal and he said yes. I just got off the phone with WDW dining and was able to book a 9pm seating for Chef Mickey's on April 2 and I can't wait. This will be the 5th time Adam and I have gone to the Disney area and we have never been able to get into Chef Mickey's. I'm jumping for joy.

Congrats!:sohappy:
If you have never been to Chef Mickey's you are going to love it. The characters are great and it doesn't matter if you have no children with you, the characters still stop for photo's etc. It is a must do for our family on every trip.

We love Chef Mickey's!! We went there last summer on our daughter's 4th birthday. The characters were great! They stopped by our table several times. Some of the best character pictures I have of our vacation were taken there. The food was great too!! You will really love it!

We went to Chef Mickey's on our very first trip when our DD was 5(she's now 11) and we absolutely loved it. You are going to have so much fun. The waitstaff was excellent. We wanted to take a pic of DD with our waitress and she was so surprised because no one had ever asked for her picture before. We are hoping to go there again next trip. Have fun:wave:

:)We go to Chef Mickey's EVERY time we go to WDW. It is the first ressie I make. I have been going there for years and the food is awesome!! The characters are fun and really do rotate.

Cute story. On our last trip, we made a ressie on our very first night there. Well, it was a 6 pm dinner and my 3 1/2 year old had just fallen asleep when leaving MK to get on the monorail. We could not wake him but Donald Duck was able to wake him. They are the cutest photos. We always have a great time and a super dinner there. You are going to love it. I reccommend it to everyone!!:)

Me, personally, I'd see if there were any "hard ticket" after hours events at the MK you can get a ticket for (P&P?). If so, switch your dinner reservation to a really early one, then spring the tickets to the park on him as a surprise.

But I wouldn't begrudge a character meal if I were in the area and couldn't get into the parks. Enjoy.

I would but there are 3 problems w/ that idea.

1. The 9pm reservation was the only reservation (breakfast or dinner) I could get from March 31st to April 2nd.

2. Adam (boyfriend) and I are going to the P&P party on the 1st.

3. He's paying for it.

We know exactly how you feel. We've never been able to get ADR for Chef Mickey's. This year, we got it for breakfast at the time we wanted :)! We are so looking forward to it. We can't wait :D!!
