Checking Resort ID during EMHs

Do they check your resort ID for the dates during EMHs? Like, can someone use an old resort ID from earlier in the year and not get caught?

Do the bus drivers check for resort id at all times?

From what I've read here, they do check for current id cards. I wouldn't try getting away with using an old one.

The bus drives don't check because anyone can use Disney transportation.

The answer is yes, they do check the dates on the resort IDs. If it were a friend of mine asking me this I'd remind them of the dangers of bad karma and totally discourage trying to cheat the system. I wouldn't want a dark cloud hanging over my head during my vacation.

Well in that case, tell them that they dont even need a valid entry ticket. Just kidding. They do check for valid resort I.D. as for the busses. Anyone can ride them so there should be no problem there.

Right. That, coupled with the obvious "it's not ethical" angle of this, should tell anyone that trying this is totally Not Worth It.

They check them constantly! and it's really annoying when you have small children and are prone to losing things....:lookaroun

I liked the wrist bands better. It was a pain waiting in line to get them, but then the pain was over and I didn't have to scramble for my wallet every time we wanted to do something.

I think there trying to get people to buy the lanyards with the little plastic card holder so that way it's easier for the cm's to see.

i would much rather deal with the braclet, its easier even though standing in the line to get them was sometimes a pain

i just think it will stink to pull out the card all the time and hopefully we wont lose them

That is why I bought my tinkerbell fastpass/roomkey lanyard for my future trips. Used it on my last trip in november, and it was so easy to just grab it from there. I held everyones fastpasses and park passes in there so it would be quick!

Where did you get it? My daughter loves Tink. I'm thinking that might be a great idea for her. Do they have something that my son would like too? I'm not sure my husband would wear one but I think I might too.

Look on ebay, they literally have all kinds. I bought a Ratatouilie one, but I also saw Cars, Tink, Mickey, etc. :wave:

Got it on Ebay... it was nomore than $4.00 and its so cute, i got the black one but they also have it in pink.

I have to get one of those fastpass things this time. I can lose my wallet 2 seconds after putting it in my bag! I hate having to keep taking the room cards out, especially for my 7 yr old, and this time my 3 yr old.

if you wanted to wait to get them at WDW, I know we got ours in the gift shop at our resort (Poly). I also saw them in the park shops. They are pretty easy to find. They may be cheaper on Ebay though I don't know

Thank you! I'm sure they are cheaper on Ebay but I don't like buying from there. I think I'll just wait till we get there to see if we can find them.

We have travel wallets that we can carry around our necks that have a clear mesh pocket on the outside of the wallet. This is where we stick our room keys so all we have to do is hold up our wallets to show the CM at the front of the line. The CM at Toy Story Mania last year thought this was a great idea.
