Just curious about the cheapest trips everyone has made to Disney...discounts, free upgrades, free meals, airfare, etc. And feel free to throw in the most expensive one's you had too so we of the less cash can be jealous:animwink:

I live two hours away from Disney. With my AP I have gone to Disney for the day and not spent anything. We have a big breakfast before we go and bring a drink with us. I also have the Disney credit card and will save up my points until I can get a free hotel room for the night.

My company once paid for my wife and I to go for 3 days and 2 nights after a conference for free, all expenses paid. Does that count?

My daughter, a CM, had several sign-ins at the end of the year, so I drove over for the day and did nothing but take pictures of the trains. I even brought my computer to download images when my memory filled up. Except for a couple of cokes and some clam chowder at Columbia House it did not cost anything.

Let's see...most expensive? I'd have to say this most recent one...

I just spent $1,350.15 on hotel and tickets...

And another $1,020.00 on plane tickets...

We're gonna end up spending about $500 on souvenirs...

Around $2,870.00 all together?? Give or take a few dollars...

The cheapest?

A few years ago when I went to Disneyland with the folks...

We got a deal where we could stay in the Grand Floridian plus tickets, and flight only costed us about $1,300 for five days...

Wish I could get a deal like that for WDW

My dad's company paid for a trip for us to go anywhere in the U.S. (We picked WDW) and we got 4 night stay free (at the Poly), 6 day park passes (for 4 people) free (not parkhopper),and free round trip airfare.

All we had to pay for was food and souveniers.

This is my 1st trip paying 'on my own' and I'm going from 9/26-10/6 for just over $1200 (not including airline)

Well, I'm going on a business trip this weekend for 4 days. My job is reimbursing me at $0.45 a mile which MORE than pays for the $30 in gas it costs me to get there, paying for my hotel, and my food. Since we all have annual passes, all we have to pay for is my husband's and kids' food. Not bad!

Using Dream Come True vacations, going during the off-season, staying with 3 others in a Value resort and taking advantage of the free dining promo yields 390 bucks per person for 5 nights/6 days before travel cost. I'm driving, so i'm estimating about 100 bucks in gas.

The cheapest? Well, the first trip with my parents as a kid. And when my DH's parents took us in 1998 -- free!

Our most recent trip (May 2006) was our most expensive - but we love to splurge on ourselves at Disney! Is that so wrong? :D

Most expensive trip was Disney Fairytale Wedding January of 1994
Cost: $11,000 (Paid by Disney Parents!)

Cheapest trip was with parents as a kid (free!)
Cheapest trip was when my hubby and I lived in Ft. Lauderdale and could do all 3 parks in 2 days (no kids) with AP's, stayed at Comfort Inn in Lake Buena Vista for $29.95 per night Florida Resident rate and used to order kids meals to eat and LOTS OF POPCORN from Main Street!

We used to have friends that brought a loaf of bread and jars of PB&J in a backpack with refillable water bottles and spent about $5. for the whole weekend! How's that for CHEAP?!!!!

Now have 3 kids, live in Atlanta, drive 7 1/2 hours, $3. per gallon, fill up at least 3 times going and coming, stay a week, get free dining plan for food and bring Grandma for souveniers (she buys them EVERYTHING they touch!). All in total about $2000.

Cheapest was when Disney would pay me to go on a trip there. I went about five times a week, from about 7:30-4:30. All I had to do was wear this cool little nametag...:lookaroun

Hmm...my cheapest? Well being from Chicago is a bit difficult...but, living 2 miles to O'hare isn't! Hehe.

I usually plan it out several months prior so I can get the cheaper deal.
my first solo was October of 2004 and I went through Expedia for the flight and hotel and staying at The Grosvenor..for a total of $708. Plus with the Disney Store selling the park tickets $30 less than resort price was at $275

Last year and this upcoming is going to be pretty much the same. Purchase my flight seperate from expedia which is $208. Then book my ressie for Pop centrury in January for about $550 and Disney Store Park tix at $285.

In average for 1 single guy like me..it ranges around $1000. Now if I lived closer to where it's warm all year I wouldn't have to deal with so much.

Everyone's "most expensive" trips are scaring me...I thought those prices were the average because I always spend that much.

Our honeymoon will be, reasonably, under $3000 with flight, souvenirs, dinner, drinks, rental car, luggage and more (but that is for a mere 3 days, lol)

For cheapest, well, I had one those cool little name tags too so I'll ignore that one. :p

My most expensive is my upcoming trip this year at around $1100. Though it's an investment since I'm spending most of that on multi-day tickets with no expiration that we'll be using for a long time to come.

The cheapest trips had to be when I was a kid and all expenses were paid - if that can count!!
Our most expensive was probably this year in May. Airfare was over $1500 for 2 (from Hawaii), whatever our 8 nights at POP cost, almost $4000 :)eek: ) charged to our room for food and souvenirs, and about another $700 in cash. This was a trip for 2 - though a few of the meals were for 3. We spent more than planned, but it was my other halfs first trip and we definitely did it in style! He had so much fun we're headed back in 89 days!!

Our cheapest trip (other than the parents taking me as a child) was our Honeymoon. My grandma paid for our rental caras a wedding present (neither of our jalopies would have made it). We took $1500 exactly. We stayed at Holiday Inn Maingate East for $59/night including a buffet breakfast. We left the park everyday at lunch and ate sandwiches in our room then went back. We came home with a little over $600!

Our most expensive will be our 4/2007 trip. We've been saving for 3 years for this one. It will include DH, myself, DS-5, DS-2 and our niece-16 (the nanny lol). We'll be staying at the YC & doing the Platinum package (if that's what they call it next year) for 8 nights then room only for the 9th night. Grand total.....about $13,000

Cheapest trip ever?>

February 04... booked a hotel (off site... last time EVER) with orbitz... got the hotel RIU (just outside the village) for 22$ a night...

THATS CHEAP... I think they had JUST bought the property from Double tree and were getting the hang of things... LOTS of remodeling going on, and when we requested towels, it took 2 hours, and they had been freshed washed/dried... in other words.. they had to wash them before they had any to bring us...

Toilet paper was equally as difficult.. never had a partial roll delivered to my room before... The crazy part was the room was nice, tv sub par, but it was nice inside.. the service was just freaking weird.. I'd complain... but..... it was 22 bucks a night :) it was like 6 or 7 nights for 150 bucks :)
