Cheapest was when Disney would pay me to go on a trip there. I went about five times a week, from about 7:30-4:30. All I had to do was wear this cool little nametag...:lookaroun
Good one. LOL

The cheapest was in 2003 when we family of 4 bought the fairytale packet room at AS ultimate pass it came to 2345.00 for 13 nights. Now, this year we will be going 12/23 to 1/1 room is 1875.00 and tickets will be around 1200 that's not including food or travel. Merry Christmas Kids:xmas:

My cheapest? This past May 2006...

My dad was down at Disney World for 2 weeks on General Motors business, so he had a several extra rooms at the Poly to use.

* My Wife, 2 kids and myself stayed in one of the rooms for 6 nights for free.
* Used his Northwest miles to get 3 out of the 4 of our airline tickets for free.
* Had my dad pick us up and drop us off at the Airport, so no rental car was needed.

All we had to do was pay for 4 5-day park hopper tickets and food.

A VERY cheap trip indeed.

I purchased an annual pass in sept of 2001 and went for 5 days then. I then returned in January with a friend of mine for 5 days. I had free airfare from my miles. John and i split the bill for All Stars which was $40 bucks a night split. We only had counter service meals.
gran total for me on that trip was $350 which included meals, transportation, and hotels and alcohol.

The cheapest was when I went with my fam when I was little, we drove down, stayed at a Thousand Trails Campground and bought Annual Passes in August, then did the same thing the next year, but whent down in July. Doing this we were able to stay in Orlando for 2 weeks!

Now it's a different story...2 years ago, booked a package through AAA (I didn't work there at the time and knew nothing of bargain hunting) for 4 nights and 5 days including airfare and towncar transfers: Almost $1,200 (can't remember how much we spent in the parks)

Last year we stayed at my parents time share for 7 nights (read: FREE) flew Southwest for like $39 one way (those were the days!) and got MYW base tickets for about $200 each. We rented a car ($120 w/ coupon) and bought groceries (about $70 for the week) and only ate at one sit down (HBD= $90 w/tip)
All in all= about $950

This year we are going for 8 nights, staying at POP, doing the free dining pkg, ME will transfer us, and playing golf twice. Booked through AAA at $1100, got my employee discount and got the package for $970!!

This past May was my first time going on my own. We stayed at POP for 7 nights, had 8 day MYW PH tix, and flew Southwest. About 1400 bucks total. My bf's parents gave us food money, so that was sweet :D

Last year we went in a large group and rented a villa for 150 a night. Gorgeous villa, just a few minutes off property! Only 3 days, and we spent about 500 a person, including tix and flight and hotel & food & everything.

Last May I went with my older son (then 5) for 5 days. As a DVC member, the hotel cost $0. As an AP holder the park admission was $0. I got 2 round trip plane tickets from NY to FL for $135/each, totalling $270. I have the Dining Discount Plan so I saved 20% on most meals.

Basically 5 days of Disney for 1 adult and 1 child was less than $1,000. Most of the money was spent on souvenears.

It's scary when Disney becomes a cheaper vacation for me than going to other places.

Only 53 more days til I'm Home!! :sohappy: :sohappy: :sohappy:

Seriously....remember the days when Mom and Dad paid for EVERYTHING?? Now I'm 23, and even though they still pay for dinner and hotel, ticket and air are probably going to be paid by me...but who cares! I still get to go, right? And there's the added bonus of my parents being adorable at Disney...Dad's not grumpy, Mom's not crabby...good times:animwink:

I own a timeshare that I can use every other year, so I haven't had to think too much about lodging costs. The payments are spread out in manageable monthly bites.

However, my wife and I decided that we would like to go next year and stay on-site. When I quoted a price online, it blew my mind to find that the lowest rate I could find for airfare, lodging, and park tix was $2700! I don't part with large chunks of money like that so easily!

The most expensive is going to be this Dec 7-11. We are a group of 7 staying for 5 days at the GF with parkhoppers, dining plan, and 2 lagoon view rooms. The whole trips is costing a little over 6,000. Not including the money that is going to be spent on STUFF!!!

Try quoting w/o airfare and go directly to the airlines website. Good airfare rates at Southwest.com and AirTran.com. Are you a AAA member? You can save some money booking packages through AAA or you can speak to one of the Kingdom Consultants on here!

Press Passes. We had a trip where We got free 2 day hoppers each, 1 day pass each for Sea World, 1 day pass each for Universal. We still spent $$ on a 4 day hopper on top and went to the MVMCP besides. But with the free tix, we really splurged. Our checkout bill on our room came to around 4K. SO, not to Disney, give me more free stuff, I'll spend MUCH MORE. We have never broken the 1K mark before. So a few free passes, and we became HUGE spenders. Give me an inch, I'll spend a mile. Same thing for free dining last year. We spent about 1k in goodies since we didn't have to buy food. So we do go cheap, but actually end up spending more money.:brick: :brick: :brick: :veryconfu

I would have to say last year total 2400, including airfare 7 nights at Sports Free dining park hopper for 8 days and gifts we brought home. this year we booked for 23oo but have to stay in Phily 1 night before flying out so add 1 night hotel at about 135 and gas and we have the similiar deal.

I did Disney last year on the cheap. I sold an industrial piece of equipment on ebay. The buyer was from the Bahamas and wanted it delivered to Ft. Pierce, FL. Equipment weighed approximately 4,500 pounds. Called around to commercial haulers, got a quote for it to be delivered, charged the customer that amount and hauled it down myself. Shipping cost paid for the gas, tickets, campsite, food + a little extra. We stayed in Fort Wilderness in a tent and brought all our own food including a microwave and coleman power cooler. We stayed 3 days and only ate two meals in the park, lunch one day at Cosmic Ray's and dinner in the tempan-however you spelll it house in Japan where they cook at your table.

I packed a backpack everyday with snacks and sandwiches, which I stuck in a locker and we used refillable water bottles with crystal light drink mix. You can do Disney fairly inexpensively if you are willing to cut some corners and do a little extra work.

In fact I enjoyed the campground more than I've enjoyed staying at the hotels. It was my 2nd time camping there. This was in march, I don't think I'd want to do it in the middle of summer though too hot.

So trip was basically free.

My cheapest trip would have to have been my 1987 visit. I was only in Junior High, so it didn't cost me a thing.

Last year would have been the cheapest that I've paid, since we only visited Downtown Disney and Epcot over Memorial Day weekend and, as always, stayed at a Super 8 in Kissimmee.
