I think it's grounded until they are sure it's safe. Too bad, while I hadn't yet had the opportunity to try it, I thought it looked cool.
More at http://www.wdwmagic.com/Attractions...ident-with-a-similar-balloon-in-Hong-Kong.htmI saw it up on Thursday. So I dunno what's up.
must be quite serious to dismantle it????
Yes it has been disassembled and removed. It needs to be taken somewhere for inspections. Surely they wouldn't be performing them in front of guests.
No I did try it, I did not think it was honestly worth the money
Agree!I actually can't disagree with this. I think the balloon looked great at DTD - and I am sure it was tons of fun. But I was kind of annoyed to be able to see it from different areas of the resort. Typhoon Lagoon was one - and also World Showcase in Epcot...

Glad I had to experience it once....That's all that was needed....I do hope they get rid of it and bring something better to keep people at DTD.
Keep in mind that the balloon is not a Disney business, it's Aerophile. It's just like Planet Hollyood, Rainforest, Splitsville, etc. It's a private business paying for the right to operate there.Glad I had to experience it once....That's all that was needed....I do hope they get rid of it and bring something better to keep people at DTD.
So what we should really wish for is not getting rid of the balloon , but the addition of something else at DTD.
Yes it has stopped.Has anyone heard whether the balloon operating at the Disney Village in Paris has been stopped as well?
Agreed, I don't get how people can not care for something they admittedly never tried.
